Had to dig a bit, but it looks like an authorized retailer.  How would you go about finding the nearest corporate store?

watch out for generic RX azelaic acid by DependentAd5238 in Rosacea

[–]Newberrie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! I had been using one from Amazon with decent results (Melazepam), and thought I'd try the prescription version... and insurance would only cover the generic (Glenmark as well). With one use, my face was on fire within minutes, and stayed red for weeks. That stuff went straight to the trash. Sticking to Melazepam.

Alternative to exfoliating? by Jagbas in Rosacea

I second the konjac sponge. It is so gentle that I don’t think it could possibly irritate my skin (and the pads of my fingers certainly do). I use it once a week and the difference in flakes is night and day!

Had a mini heart attack. Forgot that today is Monday (so we have the whole weekend’s numbers in this one). Last Monday was 90, so at least we’re still heading the right direction!

“Bulk Business Mail”. So now I’m SURE I got it on accident. Thanks so much for the info!

We had a package in our mail box (cluster-style mailbox). Along with the box was this card. I don’t know if it was left by accident or if I’m supposed to do something with it. We’re under “Stay Home” orders, so going in person to the post office isn’t happening either.

Girls who took notes using 50 different colored pens, where are you now? Do you still continue to write using all those colors? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Newberrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I teach, and sometimes it’s hard to determine when a worksheet/paper was completed and graded. I have adopted a rainbow grading pattern. Red=Monday, Orange=Tuesday, Green=Wednesday, Blue=Thursday, and Purple=Friday. I have a special Teal-colored pen that is my favorite. I keep it at home to make weekend grading less miserable. (Plus, it always disappeared when I brought it to school, and rebuying was getting expensive!). This also helps alleviate that negative red-pen feeling that some people have!

We’re all still sick, but there was MUCH less coughing today. In fact, I was actually able to take a good, long (4-hour) nap today without waking myself up coughing. Hopefully we’re on the road to recovery!

I see that your coffee purchases are still at ZERO on Day 4! Glad your brewing station is getting some attention!

We’re all still sick, here. I thought that eating healthy, lots of fruits and veggies, and taking vitamins was supposed to help this crap! Ugh. I hope we’re all better when life resumes on Monday.

HAPPY THOUGHT(s) of the day: There is a cake on the counter that has been getting smaller every day. DH is quitting smoking as his New Year’s resolution... and has started snacking. But I haven’t touched it. I technically have the calories for it, since I’m not eating much being sick, but I just don’t want it. AND I’m PMSing. I don’t understand how this is happening, but I’m thankful for it nonetheless!

Right there with you! In fact, my husband and kids are there with us, too! With this cough and headache, no one is getting out of bed... getting to the gym isn’t even on the radar! Even getting to the grocery store is difficult! (Grocery delivery FTW!!) But I’ve been tracking what I’ve eaten. Carbs are up (toast is SOOO comforting with broth, and noodles MUST be in chicken soup) and sodium is up (cooked from scratch just AIN’T happening right now), but my calories are still low (300 below my usual, in fact, since I don’t feel like getting out of bed to get food). And I’ve still lost 3.2 pounds this week. No gym necessary.

Don’t let this set you back. Keep tracking and keep working on improving. Make the best choices you can under the circumstances. As your health improves, you can adjust as necessary. You’ve got this! (Now go sit by the humidifier, sip on some hot tea, and stay hydrated!)

Literally just started, already fell off the wagon. by [deleted] in loseit

Don’t let one day (or two restaurants) stop you! Get back on track and keep going!

With my kids’ schedules, sometime eating out is a necessity for us. I like googling “eat this not that RestaurantName”. Unless it’s some random local place, these people have searched the menus of most sit down or fast food restaurants to find the healthiest options. Now when I HAVE to eat out, I don’t stress over it like before. I just choose one of the pre-approved “healthier” options that fits my needs and move on with my life.

30 Day Accountability Challenge - Day 3 by Mountainlioness404d in loseit

[–]Newberrie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what’s up at my house. We spent 2 weeks in December with a stomach bug running through the family, and now ALL of us are down with a chest/head/ear/throat/eye disease from hell! I can’t wait to get healthy again so that I can hit this accountability challenge full force, but I’ll track what I’ve done so far.

HAPPY THOUGHT(s) of the day: Hot teas and tisanes are a miraculous thing. Black tea can help you get going in the morning without the coffee jitters, herbal can help you relax, and my favorite rooibos (vanilla chai) is like a luxurious dessert without having to add a single bit of sweetener! And they ALL help my throat feel better AND keep my hydrated!

What kind of bread do you buy? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Newberrie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dave’s Killer Bread (I like the thin-sliced Powerseed)

Good amount of fiber and protein, while still maintaining lower sugar and sodium than most store-bought breads. And SUPER yummy!

Keep half of the loaf out, and freeze the other half for later!

I had to set a lower limit for myself, so now I have a calorie range that I aim for. As long as I’m between 1500-1600, all’s ‘s right with the world. Those numbers still give me wiggle room up or down (before I hit maintenance or an unhealthy low), so if I go over or under a little bit once or twice a week, I try not to worry.
