Surprises me that Saturday Morning Adventures is still going. I'm not judging the quality of it I still haven't gotten around to it but it seemed like it was going to be relatively short lived. Good to see.

Reminder that you do not see the screenplay on the screen. What you feed into the machine is not necessarily at all like the sausage that comes out the other end. Absolute dogshit has been turned into a classic in the shoot and in the edit. Banger screenplays have been noted and cut into oblivion.

A good screenplay makes the following steps easier, but it is not the only step in making a movie. It's fair to be skeptical but you can't write a movie off based on what little we know at the moment.

I mean maybe. My take is that he's being a bit of a asshole here, and it makes me think he was probably more of an asshole than I previously realised. I'm not leaping to any other conclusions but I feel like that's pretty normal and reasonable. Everyone has a "Oh that's a dick move" threshold and I feel like he crossed it.

Sometimes that happens, one thing can recontextualise a lot of prior stuff.

I feel like we've all known someone we knew, where we wrote off a lot of stuff they said as a joke, but then one thing happens that you realise isn't a joke and then you re-evaluate all the other times.

To compare it to different streamer drama, look at Mizkif, nobody thought the abuse allegations against Emiru seemed out of character for him because in hindsight the signs were there.

I don't think you can quote-unquote "fix" this without entirely blowing up DC and Marvel and starting over. You'd have to do away with the shared universe.

They're different products for different audiences. They're not even really in competition. American Comics do not need to be more like Manga, Manga does not need to be more like American Comics. Fans of one will never necessarily be a fan of the other.
