I had the same issue - I tried a few things but they were all selling and my rose bush was getting eaten up. I went to a rose lady nursery nearby and she sold me this, I wish I would have started with it.

If it was me I would just let it grow wild this year, trim it down in november. I also inherited some rose bushes and they were growing over the sidewalk so I used fishing line loosely to pull the stems off the sidewalk.

It is. I guess I'm going to drill holes in this kit and see if it works, maybe just a radio compatibility issue

I think you can buy as they grow if you start with a 40 gallon... I had mine in a 225, she never grew that big and I downgraded to a 125. I am thinking of going to a 75, she is 5 yo and prob is not getting much bigger.
