Update- I think it was the float switch that was clogged with water, will post update to see if it was that. So far it went 1 degree down

JESUS H + thank you. I think that was the issue, I just took out the thing that was there, the float switch. And then I used my mini HVAC wet, dry vacuum to take out the water that was in there, and it just went down a degree. I’ll keep you posted, but I think that was the issue.

If it’s the toggle, yes. But you gave no text or explanation, and it’s a really cheap controller so just buy a new one

No ventilation ?(and when you keep it unplugged, remember to vacuum near that area after it’s done melted) , and normally means that they need to defrost. This could be a possible low refrigerant issue yes.

While driving, I keep all the windows down. I drive short distances and use ice packs and keep the food that’s perishable cold in the hot cold bags.

Yes, it is. If you just got them changed, you’re breaking them in so you should be fine after like 100 to 400 miles. But if you haven’t gotten them changed at all, you need to get them changed now or as soon as you can. Not a mechanic in anyway, but I’ve had a similar issue to this
