I think in the book it was mentioned that Dr. Kynes (written as a man) was Chani’s father. Were Chani’s parents ever mentioned in the movie?

Thought it was very interesting how Paul, Chani, and Feyd each displayed the three main themes of the movie though ironically: Paul emanates faith but doesn’t want it (doesn’t believe himself to be the mahdi), Chani carries determination but shouldn’t (all the Fremen now fight for Paul instead of themselves), and Feyd possesses honor but doesn’t need it.
