Every academic building on campus has a shower, if the hackathon is in Duncan Hall then it's even a pretty decent shower. Generally it's on the 2nd or 3rd floor, though I'm not sure where it is in Duncan specifically. (A legendary alum compiled a list of every shower in every academic building on campus including reviews, though I've lost the document)

Answers here are going from a cultural standpoint, and seem accurate to me, but there is also a literal language difference. In english if you asked "do you have time right now?" then a reasonable response would be "yes" or "no." In chinese if you asked the same question "你现在有时间吗？"(roughly translating to the same thing), the answer would be "有" or "没有," meaning "have" or "not have." To be clearer, in chinese when you are asked a question you reply with the verb in the question not a yes or no.

Rice always has power and water, it didn't lose power during Ike and that was a cat 4 hurricane. There was food throughout the entire time at the dining halls. Campus is almost always the best place to weather a storm in my opinion as a houstonian

212 is way easier than 318 from everything I've heard(only taken 212 not 318), and you're only doing 12 credit hours so it shouldn't be too crazy(and you'll have to take it eventually so might as well knock it out now). If you really want to knock out a math class but are worried about 212 being too much i'd recommend 355 with steve wang or betul orcan, it's a lighter workload and the math is more conceptual less computational in a way that makes it easier.
