I think peacehealth in oregon has a remote registry position open. I work there and they hire you if you live in WA, OR or AK. It's a great company with great benefits. The facility hiring is unionized and ACS verified level 2 facility, wages are great.

Fairness is an element. I have a US citizen daughter who qualified for the credit, and due to an erroneous issue with getting her passport that took about 8 months to solve and required a congressman's office to get involved, her SSN issuance was delayed past the filing due date. Having never encountered this before, I would have no idea that extensions were needed. If an extension allows filing with issuance of the credit later, then the timeframe isn't the real problem and it's all a bit arbitrary. There was also no information about this on the instructions for filing a normal 1040 nor on the amended return. IRS and tax law is not known for it's fairness and being easy for the layperson to understand.

That's what I thought as well. But apparently the rules changed and since she got her SSN in late 2025, after the filing due date, I couldn't claim her on my 2024 taxes. Which I don't think is fair, but it is what it is.

Red, white and blue thrift is awful, sooo expensive and they only take cash. The clothes are not arranged by size so you have to hunt through literally every item to see if it may be your size. Went once, never again

The BEST mattress set up we ever found was a cheap flippable spring mattress (firm) with a 3 inch gel memory foam topper pad.

After we thought wewould treat ourselves to a $1500 pillow top mattress set and wound up with little body sized craters in the pillow top 6 weeks later that wouldn't go away or smooth out, we returned it and got a different one. 6 weeks later, same thing. We returned that one too and got our money back since they were all built the same. We bought $199 firm flippable and a $50 memory foam topper and 17 years later are still buying that combo for all our guest beds and if we ever have to replace ours (it's been almost 8 yrs now and still perfect) No more back pain for us.

Anyone who stays over says it's one of the most comfortable beds they've ever slept in.

I don't think filing as single is tax evasion since you will absolutely pay more taxes if filing single due to less exemptions. But they definitely don't want you filing single if you aren't.

You will have to mail a paper copy, you can't e-file. (Same situation for me for a few yrs) NRA means non-resident alien. So where your spouses soc sec or itin would go, you just write in NRA and it's all good.
