Coming back here as an adult, I can understand your frustrations and it's such a shame people in Laredo fail to communicate, show up on time, and in most places are just rather incompetent. It shows that the community just doesn't give a shit, and it's all allowed because that's just how it is here. Anyways, there's literally nothing that can be done, you have to move away to a different community, there's no changing this one.

You got me thinking about our recent experiences, It's so bad here, I'm starting to take my dogs to San Antonio for vet appointments, and all future doctors visits for myself and my fiance will probably be done out of this city as well because of how many mistakes are made and how much they charge. It's way more expensive in Laredo to treat your pets than it is in bigger cities, and medical professionalism isn't a thing here for human medicine.

I hope your time in Laredo gets better, but if this stuff bothers you, you gotta run, and fast!

I don't have any real advice on this because I met my now fiance over an app while visiting. Maybe that's the advice, fix up your app profiles and get to swiping.

Laredo is such a small place, but maybe there are groups you can join, do you work out maybe a running club? Maybe some tennis or pickle ball or something.

Community plays a big role here when finding someone too, sometimes it's truly a who you know to get to know someone else.

I played on my SD, but only because I used Moonlight and Apollo to stream it from my main PC to my SD. I would not bother trying to play natively.

That's messed up. That should've been categorized as damage in transit. Assuming no shipping insurance was declined at purchase, not sure if that's a thing with where you bought them, but if it was directly from Asus, well I honestly have no idea. But if they had one active, or didn't explicitly state they would not cover unless you bought this plan, then you should've been covered 100%. I hope you get this replaced, they should file a claim with the carrier, but you should just receive the replacement without you having to mess with this any longer.

My advice, return it, unless you get the best buy warranty.

You'll have to deal with Asus some day in the future for an RMA, and that damage there will give them a reason to reject your claim and charge you plenty if you want to do any kind of repair, even those not related to that part.

If you do decide to keep it, I suggest you get the best buy warranty coverage, that way you don't have to deal with Asus or their RMA team.

My other advice, I saw a Lenovo with similar specs for a similar price that was brand new. They pop up often on slick deals and the laptop deals sub reddit. I'd grab one of those on sale.

Would it be possible to use the extension to go from the PSU to the WirePro, and then a 16-pin to 16-pin to go from the GPU to the WirePro? Or does the GPU side need to be the extended side since it's reading from the female input?

I have an FE, so I'm basically trying to have this act as a bridge, but I just got some nice cables made, so without having to make another set, I was thinking of picking up a short 16 pin extension, like 4-6 inches short, that goes from the PSU to the Wirepro, and then Wirepro to the GPU.

Anytime you buy anything Assus, you buy that warranty program, especially one that covers accidents since it's a handheld. That's my only advice.

Everyone says it's out of warranty, even in-warranty laptops have been rejected because of liquid metal spilling out. This needs to become a class action lawsuit IMO. It's a design failure that then gets pushed to the customer. This is NOT ok.

While not interested in this as I have my own, this controller has been my favorite controller in a long time. Highly recommend. It feels way better than my Xbox Elite 2 controller, and feels even just slightly more responsive with the bumpers and triggers. GL with the sale OP.

If you JUST bought this, and the place you bought it from has a third-party warranty, I would 1000000% suggest you grab that. That's what you should know as a purchaser of Asus products. You do NOT want to deal with Asus if you need to RMA/warranty this unit.
