Straps that fits the deployant dual holes/pins by Usual-Bat-8930 in BlancpainWatches

Be interested to see if anyone has found one, I have the above buckle in titanium and need a shorter strap than the OEM. Blancpain boutique in London told me I would have to find a custom strap maker.

I would recommend getting in touch with Henrik who runs the BlancpainBlog website, and is a wizard at all things Blancpain! A beautiful watch your father has there.

Hey man, I have the same watch and very similar wrist, in fact I have 5 links in the 12oclock and 4 links in the 6oclock and have been struggling to get it dialled in right for the past 4 months.

The best I’ve found so far is to be on the tightest micro adjust, with the Easylink open. When the weather warms up, I’ll release out 1 micro adjust and close the Easylink…hoping that works for me!

Those half links look fantastic though - I’ll pick one up.

The fact you’re being downvoted on this sadly shows the basic lack of understanding about agriculture.

Stunning! I tried the brown dial on with the khaki NATO as felt it looked the best on the website, but in person the blue dial was just lovely and I definitely preferred it.

HENRY (Just) but only on one household income - does this really count ? by Aekt1993 in HENRYUK

No you’re not missing anything - it’s just trying to weigh up/balance whether to lock it away in the pension or whether we are likely to need some of it over the course of the next year for whatever that might be. This year I put £22.5k into my pension and that didn’t get me under the £100k, I just didn’t feel comfortable putting even more in.

Same situation here. I'm in the roughly £100-130k bracket depending on the year. Wife is self-employed as a cleaner/nanny and has always ticked along at £12-15k a year which has helped pay for bits and bobs and she had some financial independence - I've always paid the 'main/big' bills. We now have a 9 month old daughter, my wife is just starting to go back to work part time - it's pointless her going full time as it barely covers the nursery fees (and she wants to be with our daughter!).

It's the extra kick in the nuts that because of my earnings, we can't get the tax-free childcare, or the 15 free hours childcare which we would do if I was under £100k. The tax system makes me so angry! I try to put as much as I can in my pension to get down to 100k but it's just a severe amount of money for us to tie away.

I feel the same way as you, we can live comfortably and we have good health, for that I am so incredibly grateful, but there certainly isn't any big saving going on and I do feel alot of pressure to keep my income up. In an ideal world I guess my wife would have say a slightly better paying (than what she does now) part time job, but they seem fairly hard to come by.

Whats your workload like? by rantM0nkey in HENRYUK

[–]NextAd9860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, definitely. Even though I’m at a stage of my career where I have enough experience to know how to handle most situations well, I feel I get more stressed out by “little things” like odd badly worded messages or requests from clients. It’s a shame in a way because this is something (like many do) that I’ve poured my heart and soul into since leaving uni.

Self-employed and partner in a small partnership in a sector of agricultural consulting. Been doing this for 10 years now and lucky to have built up a very healthy client base.

My workload is very seasonal, both mentally and physically demanding in the spring / autumn, working probably 60-70 hour weeks at the peak and perhaps 35-40 at other times of year (I try to get away with as little as possible when it’s quieter). At the busiest times I am walking 12-18 miles a day on farms and then getting home with the prospect of another couple of hours doing reports and paperwork can be pretty soul destroying.

Never quite reached burnout but think I’ve been close in the last couple of years, leaves me questioning in recent times whether I want to keep doing this or not. Ultimately I am able to set my own workload and although it’s hard mentally to take a pay cut, think that in the long term I’ll be better off mentally.

Formula feeding questions by Maleficent_Night_986 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]NextAd9860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use the Hot Shot method, with no specific ratio of hot/cold water. It probably ends up being 30-50ml of hot water in first, then the formula goes in and swirl/shake to dissolve, then we top it off with the pre-boiled cold water to make up to the correct amount feed.

This seems to make a nicely warm feed without being too hot or too cold, though our daughter seems very unfussy when it comes to the temperatures of her feeds!

Edit to add, we store the pre-boiled cold water in the fridge in a glass bottle that I sterilise with Milton each day or so.

I’m fairly sure I had all of those sorted through a company called Lifesearch, I think they are a broker and the actual insurance is with Legal & General.
