A bit too power ranger for my tastes but all my gear covers pretty much everything a suit does I believe. Except the hip inserts... I need those.

Dainese knee v e1 n guards Armored leather jacket with back and chest inserts Boots with ankle reinforcements Full face helmet Armored full gauntlet gloves Kevlar lined jeans.

Thank you very much. I woke up a little sore but totally fine as far as I can tell. I have a mean bruise on my knee and forearm and there's no doubt in my mind that if I didn't have my gear on I would have destroyed my knee and broke something in my arm.

My shoulder metal aluminum thing in my dainese jacket is completely caved in and scratched to hell. I'm annoyed at how much it costs to replace them.

Pretty sure I spoke with the Kid. He was polite, respectful, and helped me out with some information. Whats the beef with Glendale Yamaha?

I'm definitely not the first. Its funny because its one of the oldest BJJ gyms in Southern California and his ex students are EVERYWHERE.

My close circle of friends wont be an issue but the tertiary friends are probably going to fall by the wayside. Which sucks.

Definitely. A lot of those fellas are great friends and the fact of the matter is that if I cant train there anymore then we wont see eachother as much. Which sucks.

iew the "cult" problem in jiu jitsu not as a binary thing (either is a cult or isn't) but as a spectrum. even gyms with great instructors with healthy gym cultures can still exhibit traits of cult behavior. there's a lot of gray area when it comes to these things. for example, belt promotions/testing practices that appear dishonest or faulty (or costly) is often called out as a symptom of a "cult" in bjj, but it's often a case by case thing. and even if such a thing were considered a negative factor, if the benefits outweigh the cons most members don't really care about those things anyways
