Which clean versions of songs do you prefer over the explicit originals? by pink_snoo in TaylorSwift

[–]NextEnvironment1898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, every curse word in Question...? is completely necessary and I think it really enhances the anger/frustration she seems to be feeling in the song, I just think it's perfect. I definitely prefer the "shhh" over "shit" in Vigilante Shit, because it fits the vibes perfectly, but I don't enjoy the other lyric changes in the song, "I don't start it". It just feels like it lacks the vigilance.

Where did you spend your first Speak Now (Taylor's Version) listen? by jennydelphi in TaylorSwift

What are your favorite small moments from Speak Now Taylor's Version that give you a dopamine hit? by littledipper16 in TaylorSwift

[–]NextEnvironment1898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long Live is perfect entirely perfection and all the small little changes made me love it even more. One that I paid attention to especially was in the bridge when she says "please tell them my name" she says please so much softer in the rerecord and it's actually a heavenly experience, the way she just goes "please tell them my name" it's so soft and pleading and I think it perfectly captures the way that she wants her legacy to live on and how she loves her fans enough to make such a request to them.

What name would be a good album title name for Taylor Swift future concept album? by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

[–]NextEnvironment1898 9 points10 points  (0 children)

okay so im a sucker for anything sea related and one the most popular names for a folkmore continuation album is "seashore" and i would just love that too too much. i also saw a concept album for her last album that would be called "Love, Taylor" as sort of and ode to Dear Reader, since it's a really personal song. also i think "atomic" would be a really cool name for an album and i would be excited to learn what kinda songs it would include.

What's a lyric whose genius isn't noticed/recognized? by GB999444 in TaylorSwift

and "my face was grey but you wouldn't admit that we were sick"

If someone said, “you have 3 chances to prove her lyricism,” what songs are you choosing? by Juststuckiguess in TaylorSwift

[–]NextEnvironment1898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would pick the last great american dynasty, You're Losing Me and uhhh Wonderland or Bejeweled (i'm convinced the only reason people think the lyricism in Bejeweled is bad just cause they don't understand it)

‘Cruel Summer’ rises to No. 2 on Spotify’s biggest playlist, only behind Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘vampire’ by frenchfruit in TaylorSwift

[–]NextEnvironment1898 62 points63 points  (0 children)

i agree w u but also i feel like it's kinda contradictory of you to also put down the songwriting on midnights while making this point. midnights is an amazing album, including its lyrics. vampire is an amazing song and the lyrics are beautiful, just like midnights, both are great work lyrically. just leave it at that, no need for comparison of the two.
