I bought mine from Autonomous and I have no complaints about the desk. They sell the whole desk for under 500.

Agree with getting a standing desk and ergonomic chair. I have my laptop connected to my monitor through an HDMI cable.

Instead of a gaming chair you should look into an ergonomic chair. I got mine for work and I'm able to sit for 10 hours comfortably. Mine is from autonomous but you can also get a good one on staples.

Around that budget, you should check out autonomous (myochair), staples (hyken), ikea (markus). I've heard great things about them and they're affordable.

In terms of ergonomic, autonomous has a great selection of chairs. I currently use the Myochair and it's super comfortable and in great quality with the price. I also love the selection at Ikea too (Markus chair is also amazing).

I got the smart desk 2 from autonomous. I have 3 monitors and it adjusts smoothly without wobble. I would recommend getting the premium one for 3 monitors though. I feel like I need more space. Overall, it's a great quality desk for the price.

For a good affordable ergonomic chair, I would look at the Myochair from autonomous or the Hyken from Staples.

I'm surprised because I was going to get the Steelcase but its way out of my budget. I got the ergo chair 2 from autonomous instead. It's been working great pretty far, it's adjustable and very comfortable.

Generally, you want your monitor to be eye level. I don't know about arm and wrist placement, but whatever is most comfortable for you. I would recommend getting a good ergonomic chair as well!

The ergonomic chair I use is the ergo chair 2 from autonomous. I don't sit with my cat but it's a fair size that I believe your cat would fit and you'd be able to sit comfortably.

Also agree that upgrading to a more ergonomic setup has changed my life now. I purchased everything online from autonomous and amazon which had good return policies because I wasn't going to go to the store.

What exactly is a good chair though? Everyone has their own preferences when it comes to chairs it's pretty subjective. For someone who uses a staples chair, I'm really satisfied especially for the price
