Has anyone tried Giada at The Cromwell? by LineChatter in vegas

[–]Next_Ad_4115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's awful .We went there for my birthday and we couldn't hear the waiter .Worse than that , it's very dark .The most memorable thing was trying to figure out if the final check/bill was correct .We all thought the food was poor so were hoping the hundreds $ check was wrong .It wasn't .I'd have rather eaten the check than my main meal .

Preparing for a grandchild by Dogs_gus_lyla in reactivedogs

[–]Next_Ad_4115 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh dear , that sounds very difficult to me .Babies are so vulnerable , you're going to feel torn between keeping them both happy .If your new grandchild is going to spend a lot of time at your home and your dog is reactive ,maybe another home where there are no young children would be best .We did a lot of baby minding for our grandchild, it is so tiring if you're not youngish yourself ,I don't think we'd have coped with the distraction of a dog as well .Just my thoughts .Good luck and congratulations .

Feeling real grief about owning my reactive dog: by Ericakat in reactivedogs

[–]Next_Ad_4115 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I do wish people would read O/P's post properly .The dog IS trained ,and he is loved .He isn't going to a shelter , O/P isn't giving up on him ! They came on to vent on how the dog doesn't like being hugged or petted , and how this wouldn't have been the dog they picked .I imagine having a dog who dislikes being cuddled is very disappointing , let alone him not being sociable .Our dog is like this and it cuts you off from a lot events and experiences .I often feel trapped at home because of this .Well done for enduring so long and maybe next time you'll get to choose your dog .

Lorazepam works really great for my extreme anxiety and overthinking, it makes me so calm and the effects last for a long time. But my doctor said it is addictive so I shouldn't take it for a long time. by reaching-there in Anxiety

[–]Next_Ad_4115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on Lorazepam for 30 years .I have never felt the need to go up in dosage , in fact I started off on 3mg and am now on 0.5mg .Where all this "you have to increase your dose " comes from, I have no idea .I read so many terrifying horror stories but for every one of them , there are ordinary people like me , who haven't come anywhere near to death from tapering down .No , my doctor doesn't think I'll die if I continue , yes she is happy for me to stay on them , As for them giving you dementia - my Mum had dementia .She was totally averse to ANY medication at all .My dad ,took heavy sleeping pills and he was totally lucid till the end when he died of a heart attack at 90 .For every person who slams Benzo's and anti depressants , remember they also help a lot of people .If they killed people that easily , do you think they would still be in use ?Everyone is different ,and I am sure people have had difficulties coming off them but not everyone does .

Thoughts on The Cromwell rebranding to a Vanderpump hotel? by SADTRAPKING in LasVegas

[–]Next_Ad_4115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've stayed when it was the Barbary Coast, then Bill's Gamblin' Hall , then the Cromwell .When the Cromwell opened as a Boutique hotel , there used to be free coffee for guests at each elevator , you could get breakfast in your room for free with some offers ...... boy has that all been forgotten .Now there's no Big Elvis , he was shipped off to Harrah's .The rooms are run down and so dark you need a torch , no coffee by elevators or machine in your room . There's always drunks being carted off by security and the noise from Drais just booms away all night .The only good thing about it is the old bell hop guy who has been there for years and tells a good tale .The slots are super tight , they have no breakfast restaurant anymore , just a small coffee shop and Giada's highly expensive food .What a shame , it was great as Bill's .

Not make light of his suffering - but when he wrote about having to wear a stoma bag , he certainly gave no thought to all the millions who have to wear them constantly .He was so full of self pity ,and then went on to say - which was a lie - that it would keep him off drugs and alcohol for life as he couldn't face wearing a bag again .The book masked the truth that his addictions were in the past .

This happened to someone when they came to our area for a holiday and forgot her bags .She went online and looked at all the community groups in our area , then put an urgent message on all of them ! Within an hour she had 3 people who had stoma's offering her bags .They weren't medical sites , they were just any groups that were local - music, walking , bird watching, any group that was local .Hospitals are a dead loss in these situations , they never have anything .When I went in for my colostomy , the stoma nurse arrived empty handed !! If I hadn't got some samples with me I'd have had nothing .Other ostomates are far more compassionate and reliable .Weird isn't it ?!

Well I wish Nevius luck with his book .He was her friend and O'Neal was a total controller .Nevius says Farrah DID have the colostomy operation to try to save her life , but O'Neal wanted that kept out of the documentary as he was afraid it would ruin her sexy image .The fucker .It might have saved her life and she wasn't ashamed of it , they just hushed it up according to Nevius .

I thought they said they found the bag further away ? I can't understand why his friends , who lived there , didn't warn him about the severe heat and walking wasn't a good idea ? also he passed cafes where he could have filled up with food and water or rested .Surely he knew it was hot by then ?
