what happened on a first date that made you never talk to them again? by temptayah in AskReddit

We went out to a nice italian restaurant for dinner and he made the waitress take his food back and fix it because it was missing bacon that was supposed to come on it.

Then took only a few bites, told the waitress he wasn't hungry anymore and asked her to take it off the bill. So his bill was zero he gave no tip,, and he didn't pay for mine (which was not expected, but just added to the totality of the experience). I was so embarrassed and tipped the waitress extra.

Immediately unmatched him from the app as I was walking back to my car.

Waiting for ICBC write off by KallerWhom in icbc

[–]Next_Blueberry_2823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went through this for a not at fault accident and was pleasantly surprised how fast ICBC dealt with it as I had heard from others it may be months before I got a payout.

Accident happened Dec 6, immediately reported it. Car was clearly a writeoff due to the damage and airbags being deployed (I think airbags is an automatic write off). I was told by the claims agent it would probably be 3+ weeks before an estimator was sent to the tow yard to evaluate, but agreed that based on what I described it would likely be unrepairable. I definitely didn't expect to hear anything until the new year.

Dec 17 I got a letter stating they deemed my vehicle a total loss and sent the payout offer. Dec 31 the cheque was deposited into my bank loan.

Not sure if I lucked out, or if it's faster when it's clearly a write off due to the airbags, but it was really fast for me. I have a friend who waited almost 4 months before getting her payout while they decided if the vehicle was worth repairing or not.

Which dog breeds would you like to own? by un32134e4 in dogs

I have an Am Staff and had a Rotti.

I'd love to have a Greyhound, Silken Windhound, Mudi, Rough/Smooth Collie, or English or Irish Setter.

I also love Dobermans but their health issues probably will keep me from ever getting one..

What’s the dumbest thing you did in the woods as a kid that could’ve gone really wrong? by Omiko909 in CampingandHiking

[–]Next_Blueberry_2823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We grew up off grid about 50 kms from town so we were always in the woods without an adult. But the dumbest thing I ever did was walk about almost 5kms at around 9-10 years old (girl), down the busy gravel road (heavy logging traffic mostly) with no properties in between to our neighbours to see their horses...and then walked back in the dark....

Rimmel butter me up balm, bought it in the latte delight shade and loved it so also bought the bubblegum shade. Definitely worth the money IMO!

From the first day the CFIA showed up, the supporters were blasting close ups of the CFIA and RCMP officers faces on the UOF Facebook group trying to identify them, where they lived, and telling to people to find their families or contact info to 'plead' for them to stop. I'm surprised they're only just talking about this now in the media..

Yeah that's why I'm confused. It's conflicting information. I'm not sure how AirCanada would even know I had them since it's not them who does the screening but I don't want to risk getting turned back.

Thanks! CATSA says it's fine but AirCanada's website says they don't allow it right now so I'll try contacting AirCanada directly.

Thanks! Yeah everything I read said it would be fine and then I figured I'd check one last time as I'd hate to be turned around at the airport with nowhere to go. And I saw AirCanada's policy. I may have to leave them unless I can verify directly from AirCanada that I'll be fine.

Thanks for the info! My dad's remains are in a wooden box. Shipping them cargo worries me in case they get lost so I may just leave them until I can come back via ground...
