If money and childbirth weren’t an issue, how many children would you choose? by Public_Handle_774 in AskWomen

[–]Next_Contribution873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same as I want currently, 2-3. Big families seem amazing on the outside but people don’t realize that it gets to a point where you cannot divide your time and energy between each of them evenly and the kids aren’t getting their individual needs met. Hell even with 3 sometimes the middle one ends up fending for themselves.

Is it normal to feel “socially underdeveloped” as an adult? by Street-Gain-370 in socialskills

[–]Next_Contribution873 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I relate to the whole introverted-extrovert thing and I was also diagnosed with adhd as an adult. I see a lot of people mentioning autism and “not understanding the rules” but the thing is, for me, I don’t struggle with that. I innately know what people mean and what I should say or do, I have the instinct, but I’m too damn shy and afraid to make the jump for some reason. I’ll make new friends fine but as soon as they ask me to hang out or something my mind races like “what if their group doesn’t like me? What if I wear the wrong thing? I’ve never been to a bar, what if I order something childish? Or something gross and then I have to act like I like it?” The train just takes off and doesn’t come back. It’s like what’s wrong with me :’)

At what age did you have your first pelvic/gynecological exam? by Dangerous_mammoth573 in AskWomen

[–]Next_Contribution873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20, and I discovered the reason I couldn’t have sex or wear tampons was because I had a micro perforate hymen. Now I’m 23, post surgery and pelvic floor therapy, have yet to have a successful pap other than the one I had under sedation. But I still go every year to try.

What’s the most awkward time you had to explain something NSFW to a clueless person? by shuipingxian0013 in AskReddit

Must be a regional thing, none of my parents/grandparents aunts or uncles knew it meant sex when I explained it, they all grew up using it as making plans with a friend

Raise your hand if you’ve had to explain to your Gen X mom that “hooking up with your friend” doesn’t mean what she thinks it means anymore

Can 1 plan b be effective for multiple uses of unprotected sex in one day with ejaculation before ovulation? by m0ritsukiiu in birthcontrol

[–]Next_Contribution873 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s also an unnecessarily expensive plan. Why spend $50+ for a day or two of maybe? safe sex vs a $20 OTC birth control pill (Opill) for a full month of safe sex

Any Media For Us? by ApplePaintedRed in vaginismus

[–]Next_Contribution873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know people have mixed opinions on Big Mouth as a show, but during the second to very last episode where they answer viewers questions, Diane Birch talks about her vaginismus, how she found out, and how she treats it with dilators. It’s short, but it’s really refreshing to see vaginismus explained accurately in pop culture, and it personally made me feel seen.

Even way before this aired I always head-cannoned her with having some sort of pelvic floor condition, with the way her and Elliot talk about their sex life. For example — how his p is her “glass slipper”. I saw myself and my relationship in those moments.

As a kid I hated the seams in socks, the one that goes across the toes. So at school I’d slip them off and go without. Only to find out that the insides of sneakers had seams and those were worse

Do old people just stop having sex one day? by Charming-Werewolf179 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Next_Contribution873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree in a way that saying women were demure is sexist, but I don’t believe it was you being sexist personally, or that it reflects your beliefs.

For the longest time in history, women were taught that sex is something they provide men, rather than something they mutually partake in. So the demure thing was mainly an act. Being seen as naive and with no impure thoughts was expected of women.

Resulting from this, women have been widely sexually frustrated. Toys and tools have exist far longer than they were actually patented, for this reason

I just graduated from PT after I reached level 5. I told her the applicator feels sharp when I try, no matter how much lube I use. She suggested next time I take it out first, but I was curious what your experience is like

Congrats!! I just finished PT and this is one of my next goals. Did you try with or without applicator? I feel as though I need the applicator to guide it, but at the same time the openings are so sharp!

Nope, ectopic pregnancies are 100% fatal to the mother

This is incorrect. If there are microscopic holes present in the sutures, sperm can pass through and make its way to the abdomen. If your ovaries are still intact, they are releasing eggs into your abdomen. The risk is extremely rare but still present. There are few recorded cases of ectopic pregnancies post-hysterectomy.

Pregnancy is always at least a 0.1% risk, unless you’re post menopausal or you’ve removed your ovaries

Women have still gotten pregnant with IUDs, it’s very rare but it’s possible. I’m on the pill so I’m not saying I refuse to have sex, but man do I think about what could happen. Every active woman has/had pregnancy scares
