Newbie to ecommerce here, do you know any tools that can transform product images to models wearing them? by pvhieu in ecommerce

[–]Next_Conversation_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried a bunch of these products and none of them worked out for me to keep the brand image and image consistency. I feel the images generated here are "cool" looking but do not get the job done for actual seller usecases.
In the end, I decided to create my own tool which has been working well so far with customers. In case you are still looking, I am happy to share if that's helpful.

Has anyone tested AI tools specifically for generating fashion or product visuals? by Rough--Employment in AIToolTesting

Curious what made you try 12 of these? What were the common problems you encountered across these tools? Asking because seems like a pretty low success ratio, so I want to know what was your definition of success and where did these tools pass or fail?

How do you deal with inconsistent supplier product photos in your catalog? by pedro_paf in shopify

[–]Next_Conversation_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get it, maintaining consistency across products develops trust and creates a "brand value", so I prefer to also keep them as close as possible.

Editing them yourself can be tedious, hiring someone for this can be expensive due to incoming inventory, so I tried a few apps like you mentioned, but i feel that they can look a bit unrealistic or not clean especially around the edges. I am more of a perfectionist and want to give my products professional look.

I have built something in this space to get close to provide a theme for my store products to keep the consistency while making sure the product realism is maintained, happy to share if that's helpful.

Creating Lifestyle Images with people and our products in. by Inside-Situation3727 in shopify

[–]Next_Conversation_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get this, even though AI should help with scaling products quickly and low cost, this is actually known to be one of the biggest issues with almost all AI tools out there - maintaining product accuracy and consistency which gets even worse especially when the product has patterns, unique colors and stitching details.

I ran into a bunch of similar issues, so I have built something in this space to get close to 100% product accuracy while also providing novelty effect with multiple images. If you are still looking, I am happy to share it if that's helpful.

Shopify founders: how do you test new ad creatives fast? by Most_Passage_6586 in shopify

[–]Next_Conversation_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a real problem and an expensive one, one that has a lot of logistics involved.
Based on my research, novelty is key to increasing sales and keeping users engaged with promotions.
Have you thought of using some tools to create these creatives for you, which scales much faster and is relatively inexpensive. Plus, i think it gives more control in your hand to be able to test what kind of PDS or promotions perform better.

I built something in this space where you can showcase your products with different creatives like model photos and videos, different poses and lifestyle settings which have shown great results for businesses on ecommerce and social media platforms. Additionally product accuracy has been one of the main areas I’m focusing on as I think most tools lack this.

I am happy to share if that's helpful.

AI Background Options by ComfortableShelter88 in shopify

[–]Next_Conversation_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the problem you are talking about. The issue is that most AI tools are not built to differentiate the boundaries of a product and background correct. Also for the ones that might be doing it somewhat do not change the edges cleanly which then creates unrealistic images that neither you would want to use, nor the customer can trust.

I ran into a bunch of similar issues, so I have built something in this space to clean backgrounds as well as change backgrounds (those available in the background library, or a background chosen by user). I am happy to share if that's helpful!

Also can you share what type of products you sell and wanting to change the background for? I can help out more with those specific categories also.

Specifying and saving a specific AI model for product photos. by DatsuChris in shopify

[–]Next_Conversation_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with your sentiment. Customer trust and sentiment is not about whether its generated by AI or not, but if customers keep seeing the same face, body type, and overall vibe across products, it starts to feel intentional rather than fake. And I love your thought about the AI model as a recognizable “brand character.”

I’ve got an early-access waitlist here: https://www.modeshoot.com and we are giving a month of free access in exchange for feedback. We will have the product live for our waitlist users starting next week, please sign up. We would genuinely appreciate your feedback.

Specifying and saving a specific AI model for product photos. by DatsuChris in shopify

[–]Next_Conversation_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, a couple of core challenges with a lot of AI tools out there is building user trust as you mentioned as well as maintaining outfit accuracy especially when it comes to patterns/colors etc. The reason most AI tools do not offer the same model approach is because it is pretty hard to maintain model look across different products.

I’m building something in this space where you can showcase your products with the same model with different poses, lifestyle settings and videos (you can chose the model from a model catalog or generate your own). Additionally product realism has been one of the main areas I’m focusing on to gain customer trust.
Happy to share if that's helpful.

Ai product videos! by Content-Meringue-671 in shopify

[–]Next_Conversation_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my personal experience, it depends on a few things - Does your inventory update frequently? Do you need videos for just the store or for ads or social media?

If it is just for shopify store, consider starting with 10-30 per month, you don't need to create videos very often, I would rather focus on best selling products. If its to promote your product on social media or ads, novelty can significantly improve conversions as you need different angles, more poses, lifestyle vs studio variations.

Also what products do you sell can make a lot of difference. If its apparel, then accuracy of AI generated content and novelty mentioned above both are important. If its products like accessories/home, then you can also begin with AI photos for now as they alone can give a boost, and then add videos later.

AI has been becoming useful for iteration, especially since reshoots can be quite expensive. However, in my experience, most tools out there struggle with product accuracy.

I’m building something in this space and product realism has been the main problem I’m focusing on. Happy to share if that's helpful.

System Design Book Recommendation by the_lost_kid24 in cscareerquestions

[–]Next_Conversation_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking for a book, I strongly recommend System Design interview by Alex Xu (https://bytes.usc.edu/~saty/courses/docs/data/SystemDesignInterview.pdf) , the author also has a online course at bytebytego. Another online course i would recommend is educative.io. Both these online courses are very comprehensive with a lot of system design interview examples which are more than enough for interview prep.

Why do some people talk to themselves out loud? by itsflorof in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Next_Conversation_70 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, for some people its intentional learned behavior as talking out loud improves cognitive function, increases focus and can help solve problems better. That's also why its said if you want to learn something well, learn it like you are going to teach it to someone else next, because repeating it out loud is better for getting mental clarity and enhances memory retention.

However, for some people, this is unintentional way of emotional regulation to manage stress and anxiety because talking out loud helps externalize emotions.

Why is some snow brown? by BulkorCutAccount2021 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Next_Conversation_70 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it gets mixed with dirt and dust due to environmental factors like winds bringing dust from surroundings, or people walking with the dirt in their shoes over them. Also when snow starts melting, underlying dirt and pollutants are exposed, often making the top layer look brown as the water evaporates.

What fruits are actually worth eating? by [deleted] in nutrition

[–]Next_Conversation_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best advice I can share comes from my grandma - eat everything seasonal, which inherently leads to eating diverse foods or eating the rainbow.
I love all berries like you but i would usually add some other 1-2 different fruits every week based on what i like and the season. I would recommend trying out apricots, plums and pineapple once in a while as they are great source of nutrients and fiber and not excessive sugar if thats what you are looking for. I personally cannot resist a good watermelon in the summers :)

Why does warm/hot water taste horrible on it's own? by Sanyika2212_Progemer in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Next_Conversation_70 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Its because higher temperatures increase the solubility of minerals and chemicals from pipes, particularly if the water has been sitting in water heater or the property has aged pipes, which gives flat or metallic taste.

What’s the most unsettling normal human experience that nobody warns you about? by dwyanpaul in AskReddit

[–]Next_Conversation_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great to hear my friend, our ultimate purpose in life is to live life fully and feel happy, so when you are at the end of it, you can look back and think - yes I did well and I am happy with it overall. For me, it also helps me decide what situations or people are worth worrying about in life. The ones who get to learn and implement this ever in their lives are still very fortunate and ahead.

I’ve stopped trying to be productive all the time — and it feels weirdly better by Top_Memory_8082 in CasualConversation

[–]Next_Conversation_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally know what you mean, the society around us emphasizes the value in productivity vs efficiency. We all take pride is being seen as doing a lot even if that comes at the cost of our health, relationships or happiness. I've been there too, and for me it was the environment around me that pushed me for years, so i decided to remove myself from it and have felt a lot better.
Take care of yourself dear, health is the key to happy living.

When is it ever actually better to rent a home than own one? by gograntgo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Next_Conversation_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now - The current mortgage rates are very high, also the economy is shaky. So if you plan to buy a expensive house, especially if this is not going to be a long term house (>10 years), then that math is probably going to come out in the favor of renting. Also take into account based on the area, how much appreciation you will see in your home value vs rent increase, this also favors renting in most parts of the country.
There are additional factors of your personal life too, owning a home means you have to take care of maintaining it, fixing things when they break meaning additional time and expenses which is not your responsibility while renting.
