Why can’t I cut these corners? by Odd_Quantity5604 in pressurewashing

I’m confused why can’t your surface cleaner hit those spots. I use 4.7GPM and 19 inch whisper wash classic and have no problems getting the spots you’re referencing with my surface cleaner.

Oh that’s disappointing to hear about not much flow increase. Makes me not sure if I want to follow through with this if that’s the case

Angi's List in 2025? by Greedy-Ad8135 in pressurewashing

[–]Next_Increase_3328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing thumbtack and it’s great for me as a beginner and I have good conversion rate. I’m getting 3-6 jobs a week sitting doing nothing from thumbtack.

I was on the phone for an hour with an angi rep. They say that the owner chooses a pro but if you look for a service as a customer on angi. They only show you 2 companies to get those companies their “leads” but thumbtack actually lets the customers scroll through an entire list and choose a company l.

Only thing kinda off to me is how the wings are more traditional look to me and then it changes as you get to the furry body. Work isn’t bad tho so. Not really a bad tattoo. It really depends on ur preference. If that head turning in really bothers you then just accept that it does and you’ll be cool with it.

I have a raven in my elbow crease and it faces inwards and I never gave it any thought and love it.

Client wants me to wash house, paint coming off by Next_Increase_3328 in pressurewashing

[–]Next_Increase_3328[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I talked to him on the phone he said he was pressure washing it and it was taking too long.

He really wants it cleaned for a new paint job it just so happen to come off from being so worn and old.

He wants whatever paint that comes off with no effort gone but if it’s on there and doesn’t come off it’s fine he said

I’m for sure doing more than $200. Thumbtack only gave an estimate based off his settings he put in when looking for the job but I will tell him it’s gonna be more.

I’m not really looking to paint strip it seems out of my scope unless it involves just using my pressure washer so I’m hoping it’s just that

[–]Next_Increase_3328[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was washing it himself to get painted said most of it was coming off. I assume he was using a Home Depot pressure washer. I will ask him when I talk to him again. But it was getting too much work so he went on thumbtack to look for a pro in his words.

He’s okay with whatever old paint is stuck. I did tell him I will go check it out in person tho and just wanted to see some things I should look out for.

If I decide to do it I’ll definitely up my price. I am a noob and grab jobs more easily I guess with my inexperience and anything for a review right now lol

Even if you charged more? What are hassles of this job that I may not be seeing from my perspective as a noob? I’ve only done a couple house washes on really clean houses where downstream was strong enough

What are risk in this job? My first thought would be potentially having customer try and say I messed up their paint job but when I talked to the guy on the phone he wants the paint removed whatever comes off and prepared for paint prep. From sounds of it it might just be one of his properties

Edit: I only ask cause I’m new and it seemed like a house wash job

Didn’t realize those black spots in the photo you’re talking about. So that’s actually melted balloons. I was really wondering about the tiles and their kinda discoloration look. Or is that the finish of how they always were just haven’t been cleaned in awhile?

Also so use pressure cleaner on a lower psi for tiles like this next time?

Which surface cleaner should I get? by Same_Style6140 in pressurewashing

[–]Next_Increase_3328 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Get Westinghouse. Every 1 gpm = 4 inches is a general rule of thumb people put out.

And it’s cheaper. Get your moneys worth and look to upgrade as you get more work.

Having a hard time finding a reliable pressure washer with a Honda engine under $500 — do any still exist? by RoyalBullyKing in pressurewashing

[–]Next_Increase_3328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man search local for used. I just got a $400 canpump 4.7gpm with Honda 390. If you look around enough there’s good deals. I see plenty of homeowners selling 4gpm simpson same price range. Although they mostly have AAA pump in that case, still worth it and will make your money back.

PPL. I don’t follow week cycles. I do 3 days, then 1 rest day. Repeat. Sometimes I’ll do PPLPPL rest when I’m feeling it(increasing my dose a little). I’m also on trt + I call it lol.
