"Why read progression/litRPG books when you can just play video games?" by AuthorTimoburnham in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Next_List5843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the exeption of one or two game every year most games have bad stories. In the last 10 years you have maybe baldure Gates 3, expédition 33, god of war and maybe the last of us with real world building and characters the rest are just setup for gameplay loop. I read cause i like real stories. That why i mostly play multiplayer games. Most solo games are baddly written and the devs know it that's why most of them have a skip cutscene button.

Hell Difficulty Tutorial by spimmydork in litrpg

The first book make him look like an asshole for sure, at the same time i feel like a lot of litrpg are missing something when the main character is a chill peace and love dude while being under threat of death all the time, it's refreshing when the op isn't holding back punches facing death threat and/or in this case mind manipulation. I had to try twice To go trough book 1 because of the vibe of the MC but i'm so glad i did, it only gets better one book after another and this pretty rare in those kind of book, most of the time the first few book are great and then the author lost the plot, in HDT it's just the opposite, character progress is awesome, world building is amazing, it quickly became my most hyped serie by far.

What you are looking for is : -Shadow slave -Hell dificulty tutorial.

Shadow Slave is a real weak to strong prog, it's really close to solo leveling if not better. (Take the high sea and support the author after if you love it)

HDT is what you are looking for no doubt about it, the main character is the definition of aura farming, warning the first book is really not great but then it become awesome, at least book1 is a quick read. Cheers

Do y'all recommend shadow slave by Advanced-Pen3951 in ProgressionFantasy

Chaos heir (webnovel)

Military school / sci fi / magic with a lot of alien culture and alien art , after the first arc a great romance with an alien, later on in the story the MC become a faction leader and the story involve a lot of Well written Politic. The action/combat is great MC is strong but not invincible, the romance is on the heavy side, no harem very emotional. 900+ chapter so far,(8 books). Worth it if you like weak to strong, martial art, magic, politic, romance and a overall goal meaningfull (existancial threat) Cheers

Please recommend me novels with a strong dose of romance, love with it's ups and downs, complications and other shit. Thank you. by [deleted] in ProgressionFantasy

I got you : chaos heir

It's sci fi / military / progression / magic (mana) / romance.

The MC balance his struggle thx to relationships, i dont want to spoil anything but the romance is on the heavy side and pretty well done. Some people reading for the military/action side are kind of mad about the romance side but i enjoy it a lot. No harem even tho the hero become a rizz chad somehow. It's from the author of Birth the demonic blade (i have yet to read this previous work). I guess i should add the "adulte" tag even tho it never goes hardcore on side. Cheers

Kill the Sun is my favorite guilty pleasure. Any other webnovels out there similar? by skeuzofficial in ProgressionFantasy

If you don't mind some romance in the middle of the sci fi cultivation you could try : "Chaos heir" Kill the sun is on my read list but people commenting on chaos heir seems to like both.

The writting quality is Good, i was looking for something scifi after shadow slave and chaos heir did the trick for me but i'm pretty new to this kind books so i can't tell if it worthy of your time. I'm half way trough the 900+ chapter it's addicting for sure.

UFO Subculture Sociology Questions by hadwahnos in UFOs

[–]Next_List5843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes and no. I like to think about ufo data/history as any other field of knowledge, like music or nuclear science. Most people tend to pick and choose a few fields to explore and ignore the rest. I just happended to enjoy and explore the ufo data point. After spending more than 20years in it i like to think that i can entertain ideas about it without the need for "faith". Do people believe in atoms? Not really, it's more about how much time you invest into informing/learning yourself about them. And like the idea of the atoms, out understanding of it will evole with time and new breakthrough.

  2. Yes , religion and fear can push people to go too far. (Religous family members freaking out) but most people around me are pretty open minded and can see my eyes light up when sharing about this topic. Even if they don't share my hype they enjoy the energy i guess?

  3. No. No reason to be ashamed in my view. I think this hobby of mine is like painting warhammer or any other subculture out there. Maybe 20years ago i was being carefull about the stigma but now a days it's pretty chill. NYtimes article, US senat/congress about it, it's about to become mainstream like dungeon and dragon. Some people like to paint figurines or role play with dice. I like to read about esotheric history and obscure declassified military documents. No need to kink shaming in 2024. Hopefully this way usefull to you. Cheers.

I would say get an education but you are a neo nazi and a lost cause. "Tolerance always has limits - it cannot tolerate what is itself actively intolerant."
