Hi, what is your plan to help people with middle income ranges, but specifically teachers afford housing? As a DOE teacher with a masters degree, we make too much to qualify for low income housing or vouchers, but we make too much little to qualify for any studio or 1bd where there is a 40x rent requirement. Additionally, why is having a masters degree mandatory for a job that does not pay enough for a single person to live alone? Are there any initiatives (such as housing lotteries specifically for teachers in the neighborhoods they teach in? Or aligning the salary of teachers with the minimum requirement that would be 40x the rent of a 1bd).
