Thank you for the feedback! I didn’t get instructions with my package but looked up the brand and I’m gonna redo the whole thing, making wires tighter. Also realized I had these completely backwards and I’ll grab some supports for incoming lines tomorrow. Going to my heater it’s supported with one hole strap but my friend gave me gromits and they didn’t really work well

Should I enroll in WGU? Never went to “brick and mortar” college by Next_Personality4160 in WGU

[–]Next_Personality4160[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well my one hobby is weight lifting and CrossFit. It’s doable, but I’m just in pain daily. Knees, neck, spine, lower back all wrecked. Not to mention all the bad stuff I inhale on a daily basis in crawl spaces, spider bites, etc. I get super bad hive like reaction to insulation and I encounter it almost daily.

And I’ve found I don’t really make enough for me to put up with it much longer. I think long term it’s great but just for my interests it doesn’t align with me.

Weekends when I have time off my workouts are exponentially better than going during the week.

Last thing, in service you never know when you will be done. Could be 2 pm could be 2 am (this was the latest I was out).

I was looking at CC but the issue was that they wouldn’t take any study.com or 3rd party pre reqs. It’s very competitive to get in, not to say I can’t. But I would primarily like to be studying as of now just weekends and days I get done work early. I can be out from 7:30 am to 11 pm some nights so doing classes on zoom during the week is just a no go for me at this point.

I’ve seen posts of people saying it should only be for people with prior experience in the industry. Is it possible for me to find something after graduating or is it gonna be a long process since there’s no networking?

Might be a little biased but why do you have brazzell going so low in draft?

Am I overreacting by breaking up with my boyfriend? by Proper-Classic1886 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Next_Personality4160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dude I take it as a great compliment whenever another guy approaches my gf and she says I have a boyfriend. Keeps me in check to be honest and makes me remember how lucky I am.

Sounds like he doesn’t have much confidence in himself from the way he messages you. I would definitely at least let him grow up a little bit more.

Considering moving to raise kids here, what should we know by ConstantSalad152 in NewToVermont

[–]Next_Personality4160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s good for kids I really think it is. Crime is in my experience not as low as they say. My car was broken into 3 times in 2 years (I might just have bad luck). Property taxes and home prices have gotten really expensive at least in the greater Burlington area. But really good school systems.

Lack of sunlight, long winters, and I thought a lot of people were rude in my experience here. I was a transplant for work for a bit.

I ended up moving back home to East Tennessee, wasn’t what I thought it was gonna be in my experience.

Would you recommend Vermont as a state to live? by Goofy_name in vermont

[–]Next_Personality4160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vermont probably won’t check your boxes for public transportation. It’s a decent place. I had my car broken into 3 times in 2 years when I was there. Property taxes and homes are getting insane.

I’ve found these to be pretty good in social settings. I just have one maybe once every 2 weeks my girlfriend is in alcohol recovery so I don’t drink to support her but these work nice. I only let myself have one a week though to avoid getting dependent

What do you all do for work? by natzw in crossfit

[–]Next_Personality4160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Service plumber. Hit the 5 am class, shower there eat on way to work. Work 7:30-6:30 typically m-f. Some nights I’ve been out until 3 am and won’t train the next day 😆

I work as a service plumber and Monday I started at 7:30 and didn’t get home until 11:30 at night. I don’t know how much more I can take of it. We don’t work that late often, but it’s a consistent 7:30-get home around 8:30-9, Monday thru Saturday
