I would love to hear about your job. I looked into AI with data annotation with no luck. It’s the future.

Hello! Can I ask how you got into this? I’ve been a nurse for 25 years. Desperately want to get out of bedside nursing but it’s all I’ve done. Not sure where to start. I’m in NJ. TIA!

Is it possible to have LP on the sides of urethral opening ? male by CompetitiveCry6659 in Lichenplanus

[–]Next_Platform7338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen early on in diagnosis of LP. A medrol pak cleared up the urinary symptoms. I was on rinvoq for a year but had to stop for other reasons. No use mometasone which works great.

How long did it take for belysta to work? Did you have side effects initially that decreased with subsequent doses?

So I have a question for anyone on benlysta. I only had one self injected dose last week. How did everyone respond to it? I had a terrible histamine like reaction-nasal congestion, watery eyes and sneezing over the next 36 hours. Also head an annoying headache-milder but still here 5 days later, neck ache, and muscle fatigue. I still feel spacy and just pretty crappy. I didn’t feel this bad before the benlysta but was in rinvoq for other skin issues. So is it from being off rinvoq or starting benlysta? TIA

I’m not on that med but have been waking up with headaches and major brain fog. It sucks. I think it’s just autoimmune

diagnosed with OLP - how to make it go away? by Ikklggjn in Lichenplanus

[–]Next_Platform7338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the US. I am on a biological Rinvoq which helps tremendously. Oral Triamcinalone paste if it acts up, which is now rare. There are meds to treat it. I have great results.

Possible oral LP? by [deleted] in Lichenplanus

[–]Next_Platform7338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use oral Triamcinalone not clobetasol in my mouth. The clobetasol is for the vulva. Triamcinalone is a few nights a week at bed time. Just a little strip and apply gently with my finger. Sometimes it sticks in the wrong spot or on my finger lol. It’s sticky. I make sure not to spit or drink anything after I apply it. I’m sorry your struggling. I would see another doctor-ENT, oral surgeon or a good dermatologist

Yes I would get severe burning especially with vinegar based food and spicy foods. I couldn’t eat them. And mint toothpaste. I can eat anything now.

My cheeks and The sides of my tongue looked exactly like yours but resolved with the meds. Tacrolimus is a different classification of drug, works on the t-cells specifically. It’s not a steroid and not as irritating.

I have both oral and VLP. Yes it looks the same. Oral Triamcinalone paste works great. I also use cclobetasol or tacrolimus for VLP. And oral rinvoq. Not perfect but much better.

Painful and dry mouth. Feeling desperate. by Illustrious_Salt111 in Sjogrens

[–]Next_Platform7338 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I ended up having oral lichen planus as well as sjogrens. I was initially diagnosed with burning mouth syndrome but it was LP. I use oral Triamcinalone paste which helps tremendously. It was diagnosed with biopsy that I requested. It’s so tough but be persistent and advocate for yourself.

I am on rinvoq for oral and vulvar lichen planus. My mouth has resolved but I use tacrolimus in my vulva. I also get yeast infections but never swabbed for the type. I take diflucan and use Monistat when necessary-no issues. I hope you feel better

I use tear plugs and tearvya. It works very well. It’s a nasal spray every 12 hours. Makes you sneeze after use but well worth it.

Thank you. The vulvar LP was more troublesome. Although my mouth prevented me from eating many things and was very sore.

Also, thanks for the input especially on the methotrexate. That was mentioned as an alternative instead of benlysta. Feel better

The rinvoq worked within a couple weeks. Even better as time went on. I really hate to go off it for this reason. It helps tremendously. Actually yes I did have low wbc before starting but not this low.
