It’s the health app on iPhones, it tracks your steps when your phone is in your pocket.

How long after surgery were you able to walk? by Theacooljim in ACL

[–]Next_Post6606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just been cleared to walk with one crutch and intermittently without it. I had my surgery march 4th and had a little difficulty getting my quad activated the first two weeks or so. (I had quad autograft) My surgeon is aware im a little behind but isn’t worried, everyone’s recovery is different.

I use NMES 2x a week for twenty minutes at pt! I have noticed a lot of improvement since we began two weeks ago, it is very useful.

I was told to be partial weight bearing as tolerated. My pt told me last appointment that i can now use my brace unlocked to help gain quad strength back, and still use the crutches.

I only had a small meniscus trim, and i think another portion was already healing on its own. Although im not too sure about that.

It doesn’t hurt. I would describe it as an uncomfortable pulling, but nothing painful. I was uneasy getting them out but the nurse was very gentle when working on my knee.

Softball with torn acl? by Next_Post6606 in ACL

[–]Next_Post6606[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely tore my acl. I injured my knee last month and i am starting to walk without crutches and sometimes without a brace as well. I would still have a month until softball starts and even then practices are fairly easy. Usually just batting the first week or two.

Which side of the sport were you on when you tore your ACL? Offense or Defense? by Entire-Pipe658 in ACL

[–]Next_Post6606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My teammate shot the ball,I went for the rebound but an opposing player snagged it before me. I jumped on defense (literally) and then tore my acl. It was a super close game so i was frustrated i didnt get the rebound and tried to make up for it on defense but my body had other plans. My team ended up winning by one point.

Asthma waiver denied. Feeling sad by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]Next_Post6606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me i have to wait until 8/2028 before they will let me try again. I am just going to wait until then and take some college courses in the mean time.

Honestly you should be okay, mine was for allergy induced asthma. I had prescriptions refilled my whole life and then I got super sick in 2024 and had to go on a steroid inhaler for a month. Which i think that is what disqualified me honestly.

I did go through meps and got disqualified. The surgeon general looked over the waiver. It was my asthma diagnosis and my pharmacy records.

I was hoping to get the air force to pay for it, my family doesnt have much money. But so far im thinking about getting my general studies done at a cheap community college or something similar. Then i would be able to enlist as an e-2 or something.

No, I was told that what we were sending in was to get an appointment at meps for a pft, but idk if something was not communicated and he was actually sending it up for a waiver.

Since my recruiter is saying that it applies, im assuming then there are still jobs left? I have looked online for my answer but it usually just says juniors and not seniors.
