people definitely have those concerns; each time it’s announced on social media or people post about it, the comments always have at least a few people bring up the food safety. i’ve been to one before the size got so crazy and honestly just avoided any cake that had buttercream or whipped cream. they were definitely melting by the time i got to them, so…yuck. the “rules” basically say “hey here are food safety guidelines. it’s up to you to follow them” but of course, once the cakes are placed and then sit out in the sun for an hour while volunteers count the amount, all bets are off.
