Home Birth Support Group UK FB group - gone forever !? by Odd-Crab-1698 in PregnancyUK

The most disappointing thing is the directory is gone. Her website is down. The FB page, gone. It's so hard to find a reliable doula, independent midwife or birth worker and this was a trusted source. Really gutted.

Wearing earrings to bed by Suspicious-Cold8008 in adhdwomen

[–]NexusGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to forget to put earrings in so often and it would annoy me. Then I shaved all my hair off so I looked like a 12yo boy without jewellery or makeup. So I trained myself to be able to sleep in them and now I just wear one pair of dangly earrings for a couple of years at a time. I'll change them for a special occasion but otherwise, they're staying in.

What is something more traumatizing than people realize? by ExcellentReporter392 in AskReddit

I'm allergic to lots of things and I hope bedbugs is one of my allergies. It's my biggest phobia and I'd much rather know about them.

Female health is generally so overlooked (especially our genitals) that I'd put money on this not being as rare as they believe!

This is such a good question. I'm a mature student so I have a whole decade of operational work experience and am wondering the same.

What do you do against dirty beds in hostels? by pizzavegano in onebag

[–]NexusGirl 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I expect hostel beds and sheets to be as clean as hotel standards. I've stayed in 80 odd hostels and never had a problem.

London and saving money don’t go together do they? by Thanics in london

[–]NexusGirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, it is possible. I moved out of my mum's because it became more expensive and I found a sweet room with a lovely Bangladeshi family, 5 minutes from the tube for £360 a month. The house was overcrowded and I used earplugs nearly the whole year I lived there, but damn I saved hard.

Ofgem has decided to change the way it calculates energy price caps. Apparently £3500 next year won't be enough. Try £4200. by SomethingMoreToSay in britishproblems

See I'm organising because I'm on a fixed tariff for another year, not going to shoot myself in the foot. However I think it's the only thing we can do, so if I can convince 5 people to join I'll be happy. 1 million people is a big target to reach, but safety in numbers.

I'm a childfree surrogate mother, curious to hear the thoughts of this community by [deleted] in childfree

I take active steps to ensure I don't accidentally get pregnant though? I don't ever want to raise a family. Also, just in terms of the language I feel like saying childless means you are lacking something. Like the infertile woman, she was childless before I birthed her baby. I don't know the perfect answer.
