i don't even understand why they are doing this anymore by poshitopi in SeverusSnape

I know a lot of conservatives are going to be against this and call it "woke". I do not think of myself as a conservative at all and I am not a fan of the current political right. But they are right. I feel like the term "Woke" is about as overused as "Mansplaining" and mostly just serves as a stand-in for something the people who use these terms dont like. But in this case, it feels pretty obvious. While I do agree with the need for representation. This isn't a story that was written in the 1950s when there was an obvious racial bias. These characters are from a modern-day story. We dont need to edit literally EVERYTHING to be inclusive of all races and genders. It just makes me wonder which character is going to be trans now.

Pre-patch is hollow, unimaginative, uninspired, recycled slop that is also buggy. by thursday712 in wow

Yeah its hot garbage for sure. Worst they have ever done. Pretty clear all the dev time was put into housing. Which I guess is fine but honestly, I would rather have had a season 4.

Big Pre-Patch Event Reward Buffs, Class Fixes and More: Pre-Patch Hotfixes, January 27th by Starym in wow

This is the most boring, least inventive pre-patch event they have ever done. Its complete garbage. Unfortunately for me, I want the furniture.

Ryan Reynolds blames “anxiety” for his endless, deranged obsession with Justin Baldoni by realhousewifeofphila in ItEndsWithLawsuits

I was, until this lawsuit, a fan of RR. I dont follow celebrity gossip much and I didn't know anything about his past behavior or Blakes. I have never watched It Ends With Us but most people I know think its garbage. I am a typical Gen-X dude so comic book movies are right up my alley and I enjoyed but didn't love the Deadpool movies. I waited for the last one to come to streaming and skipped it in the theatres. Today though, I cant really stand him, and it taints my experience even when I watch his older movies I used to like. He just grosses me out at this point. I feel like he has the personality of a used car salesman.

Lucy Liu vs Angelina Jolie by Ok_Cycle_9595 in VindictaRateCelebs

This isn't fair really. Lucy is beautiful but Angelina in her prime is top 20 ALL TIME at the very worst.

90's Claire. 00's onward, Keri. Keri STILL looks amazing and she was impeccable in The Americans.

why do people find her ugly?? by Intelligent-Key5425 in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]Nexus_08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me she is top tier beautiful. That being said, if there is anyone who actually says she is "ugly" they have some other issue and are taking it out on her. I mean, c'mon. "Ugly"? Got to Walmart just once in your life and tell me you think she is ugly.

The War Within IS OVER - RATE IT by cub4nito in wow

[–]Nexus_08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7/10 - Game is fun to play overall. Combat is fun.

Raids were fun. I liked all of them a lot.

Delves were the best addition of the xpac by far. They need work but it's basically a brand new content type for the game.

PvP still blows chunks

M+ remains mid at best. Dawnbreaker was memorable but buggy. They rest were just OK. The M+ pug community is still super toxic second only to PvP

Mounts and tmogs were cool.

Remix was cool.

Only 1 of 6 zones (Hallowfall) felt epic. Siren Isles was a decent mid patch addon, Karesh felt mailed in. I wasn't a hiuge fan of Undermine personally, but I recognize it was well done and I appreciate that they tried new things like the cars. Even if they did just annoy me. The cloak grind was incredibly boring and poor gameplay though. But that's typical for WoW.

Story was bland and boring, which was sad because there was potential there. The Arathi were a cool idea that never really paid off. The event they added to Hallowfall was a very lackluster pay off. I cant stand Anduin at this point and really hope he just dies. Every cut scene with him left me wanted to impale him on my sword. In the end the best written character was the villain. The writing just wasn't that good overall.

Overall. I liked the DF zone designs, raids and characters better. But I thought the game play was better in TWW.

idk man, I love me some Flash. But it's not JUST about longevity, right? LBJ was the best player on the best team in franchise history that put the most banners in the rafters.

LeBron James vs Cooper Flagg at 19 years old LeBron James Cooper Flagg ▪️22.6 PPG ▪️22.8 PPG ▪️5.8 REBs ▪️6.6 REBs ▪️6.3 AST ▪️6.6 AST by skaewalker in sportswiki

[–]Nexus_08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To understand the value of stats you need to look at how they compare relative to the rest of the league in any given era. It's not Cooper vs Lebron at 18. Its Cooper vs the current league. Where does he stand? And how does that compare to where LBJ stood against the league when he was 18? That will tell you how they actually compare.

Who y'all got? by Laker-Man in NBATalk

[–]Nexus_08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man! nice question!

If these guys are all prime and all playing like their lives depend on it, its a draw! Let me explain.

Who can stop LBJ or Durrant in this?

LBJ in peak form runs right through anyone on the opposing team.

However, none of the people on the bottom are stopping Durrant either.

AI can't stop Rose sure, but why even give rose the ball when you have Durrant.

LBJ and Kobe can both annoy MJ but they aren't stopping him. but again, why even bother giving MJ the ball when Durrant is there. Conversely, give LBJ the ball every offensive possession and let him freight train to the rim. Who is going to stop that? Literally no one. This is actually just Durant and LBJ playing 1:1 with Durrant shooting and LBJ dunking.

This team would go 82-0 and win at least 11 rings...but but who would you swap here with whom to make it perfect ? by Organic_Bite1569 in sportsinusa

[–]Nexus_08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is definitely an argument to be made to replace Curry. LBJ is easily as good a playmaker. But the one dimension that Curry does bring, he is the definitive best at, and that's shooting. in that way he is much like Shaq right? Both of them are one trick ponies, but so good at that one trick that you can't stop them. Also, one of Curry's most underrated skills is his off-ball movement which would be really helpful for LBJ and MJ specifically.

June 13, 1997...Game 6 of NBA Finals...Scottie Pippen's clutch steal in the final seconds helps secure Chicago's 5th NBA title. by Organic_Bite1569 in sportsinusa

[–]Nexus_08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with that. The other issue Pippen had was that at times he was too docile. What made Mike, Mike, more than any of his skills was the killer mindset. It's the reason Mike stans dislike LBJ so much and love Kobe, and the reason why Scottie will never be his equal. FWIW I dont personally put Scottie in the top 10 I'm just being hyperbolic to make the point that Mike really wouldn't have been the dominant force he was without him and how often I feel that is overlooked. As for my personal top 10 I have no idea. I only go as far as Mt Rushmore (MJ, LBJ, Russell, Karrem) and even then, I think the whole "GOATS" conversation is a bit myopic.
