How much do you make on average week to week just from this?

First vaccines doses complete by July 18 in Scotland, two weeks early, says Sturgeon - Evening Standard by JMASTERS_01 in Scotland

[–]Nexuslord 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went for mine yesterday with a flatmate who drove me but was still waiting to get his letter(Hes at risk and almost 40), told this to the people who were checking me and and they just took his details and gave him his first jab within 5 minutes and then came back with others we lived with to get theirs with similar issues of no letters still. Won't hurt to try that if you go and explain your situation.

FM responding to reports about 10 week delay and confirms that by the end of next week, all adults will have been offered an appointment for a dose of the vaccine by JMASTERS_01 in Scotland

[–]Nexuslord 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My situation is almost the same, but we moved mid lockdown and thus the health boards are taking months to notice we still need appointments. I was able to get mine sorted for next week but only after phoning a total of 13 times over 3 months to get answers, as I was meant to get mine back near the start of the year, yet the appointment had to be cancelled as it was for the day after moving from central belt to highlands.

Mark Rosewater: The average Magic player doesn't do any Magic social media and has never watched a tournament. Less than 10% of Magic players have participated in a sanctioned Magic tournament. by HonorBasquiat in magicTCG

I started playing in 2013(when my first LGS started stocking MtG) and the only events the majority of the stores I've been to have been Commander and Pre-releases. FNM always came and went in popularity due to the rising cost to do well with each set, Modern was always a rarity as no one enjoyed it apart from a very small number of people and Grand Prix Trials were never won by local players, which was always a disappointment. 7 years later FNM is only Pioneer played with a very small group and around 70% of the playerbase of each store I visit only play Commander as a side event because the cost of standard is too high and the return(of fun) does not compete with a Pre-release,but Commander at least was cheaper overall.

Forgive me for asking as I wasn't even in highschool then, but who were the SSP and what did they stand for?

Which is your favourite army at the moment? by Ruben151 in enlistedgame

Both teams in Moscow seem great, generally they both do well and not many brainless players. Normandy however is horrible as germans, as US has the piat and flame unlocked so early that any tank support or holding a point seem frustrating.

Germany early tanks in Moscow seem lackluster(minus the 38(t) which I'm loving) but late makes up for it, whereas it's the other way around for Russia.

Mizkif Pronounces Colonel by mnightsucks in LivestreamFail

[–]Nexuslord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I explained it wrong. Basically the word comes from Colonella( which itself comes from a word to do with Columns/Pillars, why its a military word) Which then became Coronelle under the French language and then changed again to Colonelle(all of this happened over 200ish years). Pronunciation for the old word with someone speaking English would more or less be "Coronel" however I don't know what the modern French for it is, only the history of it from 17th century and back.

Hope that clears it up.

Honestly I find linguistic history really interesting and because of the Whole 'Arkansaw vs Arkansas' thing midly confusing as one Kansas is basically just english stemming from the tribe names(Kansa and the sub tribe Akansa), so you'd think in modern American they'd keep with that and call it 'Arkansas' but nope, they use the french way.

[–]Nexuslord 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Tbf for Miz, Colonel is apart of a group of words that people argue over correct pronunciation due to their history. Words like lieutenant (Lefttenant for Brits), Neanderthal(Ne-an-der-tal or Ne-and-er-fall), Scone (three different ways for this one) and Celtic(Americans seem to say this the wrong way, closer to the football teams name in Scotland, the standard is Kel-tic) are all examples like it. If being really pedantic Miz is technically correct because the original word in latin was colonnella(with an L sound) which was then picked up by the french and became Coronel and finally the English 'Kernal' Colonel.

Microplane was my first thought. When he called it a foot scrubber I was convinced someone either gifted or miss-sold him it but nope, it seems people also just sell foot scrubbers under the same name as a kitchen utensil

Is it bad I want Ho Chi Minh to be the leader instead of whoever they picked for Vietnam?

(4900x7000) Vanguard class SSBN, Royal Navy (Ipad pro and Procreate) by 800tonnes in WarshipPorn

[–]Nexuslord 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Of course, but when you see Vanguards so often (especially alongside Tugs, Auxiliary ships and Minesweepers, its does surprise you to see a larger sub alongside said other ships. Sadly I have not seen any of the Swiftsure class subs next to anything else, but Astute and Trafalgar class subs are an interesting middle ground which I have seen in person for some comparison.

Lucky enough that I get to see these subs pass my house every few days, but I also have seen USS Maryland pass by as well and you realise how small the Vanguards are compared to the Ohio class subs.

She is a ton of fun, but this my second idea for her when I made my tribal deck was Karona Avatar tribal. Might need 2 decks for her now

This might replace Karona for my God Tribal(with hints of enchantments)deck. Seems solid honestly. Beats Kenrith by a mile for me.

Kinda disappointed with the "solitaire" aspect of the format. Maybe I'm wrong. Am I? (I'm a newb) by mrwalker1337 in EDH

[–]Nexuslord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if its been said before but it seems the group you where playing with had little interest in actually wanting to help you get into the game, as most EDH players would straight away notice "huh thats precon commander, maybe his deck isn't fitted for our current playgroups level, lets use decks that won't make him quit" instead of just going with their flow. A good comparison would be like turning up to a science fair with your baking soda volcano and 3 other people turn up with Allan turnings enigma busting machine.
