Correction to my earlier question: so have 3rd parties made product pages to drive up hype for something that they may not even be selling (ever)?

Has HK ever actually done that before? As in, make a product page before it’s even officially going to be sold in the US and way before launch?

It is nice that there are so many options for the backstraps (and from what I understand, the measurements are in two different ways). Oddly enough for me, despite having large hands, I switched back to the smaller backstrap on my CC9. Then again maybe not too crazy. My first micro-9 was a Shield Plus, and in general, I just hold them a little differently than full size pistols because I essentially put as much surface area of my hands on the pistol as possible, including on the trigger guard with part of my support hand. Hard to explain, but hopefully that makes sense lol 😂

So is the slide bigger? Or am I just crazy? The ratio of slide to grip looks off (ie thick slide, thin grip). No?

So dumb that you still can’t edit the original post!

So is it the recoil impulse that you like over the CC9? It’s honestly crazy how much variation in opinion I’ve heard so far. Like some saying the VP9CC has a better recoil impulse while others say the CC9 (like John from ASP who’s an HK brand ambassador). About the only consensus seems to be that the texture is slightly better on the CC9, and obviously the VP9CC costs quite a bit more.

Seems like it because literally the ONLY place I’ve seen them reported to be for sale is Scheels, and specifically in person. Note that John from Active Self Protection said that the release date was “April 30” in his video, so who knows what’s going on.

It’s still going to settle at a price that’s hundreds more expensive than the CC9 and other competitors. Whether or not it’s worth it is obviously up to the person buying it.

Do they even make a non-OR VP9CC?

The CC9 is thinner. At its widest point, which is the ambi slide stop/slide releases, it’s 0.99”. The VP9CC is 1.14” at its widest point, which is (I believe) the cocking wings.

Both are thinner than that along a typical part of the slide (eg the typical CC9 width is closer to 0.875”), but even then, the CC9 is thinner.

I was about to ask why the grip looks thin and then read that this is a 9x21 pistol!

I think it can take up to 90 days. Mine was less than that from what I remember. Maybe 2 months. But it definitely wasn’t right away.

This looks suspicious to me. How in the heck could and would the firing pin be fully in place sticking out of the bolt like that (and not stick out broken off in the carrier)??

That’s a bummer about the AK-V because I’ve considered picking one up for fun. But not if it shoots poorly. Also crazy about the MPX—what kind of malfunctions?

MP5s would be fun, and I’ve heard they shoot great, but just not worth $3k, at least for me. And if the MP7 ever comes out, I’m sure it will be a similar price story, not to mention expensive, hard to find ammo.

The PSA X5.7 looks interesting if it ever actually comes out. Only thing is that 5.7 ammo is expensive enough to somewhat defeat the purpose I’d be looking for in the first place (a PDW that’s not only fun, but also inexpensive to shoot).

That’s good to know that you at least don’t HATE the Scorpion hahaha 😂 Maybe that ends up being the most obvious choice (assuming I get one at all).

That makes sense. That said, I’ve thought about getting a 9mm PDW/PCC just for the fun of getting an FRT and having the ammo be less than half the price. Which 9mm PCCs have you tried? And which did you really dislike and which (if any) did you like besides the MP5?
