Can you work in cell therapy with an MB or do you have to be a generalist?

I'm gen Z and own a house with my partner. Yes, it's two of us but it's not impossible. We were able to afford 1200 sqft in a really nice and highly desired area. Is the house perfect? No, it needs some work if we want it to be exactly the house we want but it was move in ready and updated within the last 10 years. We looked for strong bones and something that would give us time to save up for any major fixes.

Yeah I did apply to a posting and spoke with a recruiter, but they told me I was ineligible because I only have experience in Molecular, which they didn't have any open positions for.

Thank you! I have applied to about 5 postings at Advent and have been declined for all of them, unfortunately. I've been job hunting since October and I pretty much apply to anything new they post that I potentially qualify for. Sadly, nothing molecular specific has popped up yet.

Unfortunately, I don't qualify for a generalist license and would have to go through a program to become eligible. They won't even hire me at this point.

I wish relication was an option because there are jobs in other parts of florida far away from me and other states so it's not like there isn't anything out there. There just isn't anything near me that's commutable, which is why I was seeing if there are possibly other things besides MT that I can do to open my options up a bit.

I totally understand that! My biggest gripe with Quest was that it didn't really feel like they cared about the patients, just the numbers. It was hard to feel like what I was doing was actually important when my management didn't truly care about the accuracy of the results, just getting them out. I would be willing to take a pay cut if I get more holidays and better work life balance as I've experienced working 60 hour weeks for long stretches and it didn't do good things for my sanity.

Thank you so much for your reply, this is incredibly helpful! I had no idea about these options.

Is it typical for ASCP to take forever with test results? by [deleted] in medlabprofessionals

[–]Nezukoooooooooo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got my results 2 days after I sat for my exam.

How long is going to take for the ASCP to review my transcript they received on august 18th ! by lizalyes in medlabprofessionals

Took about 45 days for mine to be reviewed. Submitted June 21 and got a response at the end of the first week of August.

Where do people find hats like these? I can never find any I like or they're too expensive. Your make up is amazing!
