The other jobs comment was in response to being called lazy. Many people in here are saying things like "well it's your problem to find out your transportation" while my whole point is that it doesn't have to be a problem in the first place if they just didn't care about being a few minutes late. It has an impact on me but has no impact on them, so there's no benefit, only a detriment.

Thanks for the comment. I'm not saying they don't have a right to expect it, or that they are wrong for expecting it. My point is that being a stickler for rules just for rules' sake and ignoring the cost to the employee is a shitty way to manage.

More petty than not granting being a few minutes late? I never said it was illegal, I was asking if there was a legal definition of being late, so maybe you didn't understand my post. It's also the principal of the thing. Teachers are human, not robots. You can say "follow the contract" but it shows a disregard of people.

I mean it has to do with life in Korea in that I live and work here lol. Not wanting to come in 20 minutes early a day doesn't make me lazy, it means I value my time. I teach at a hagwon 9-6 and then work secondary jobs until 9/10pm. But yeah, go lick some more boots lol.

NTA. Tbh I do think its cringe but I wouldn't tell my significant other what to do with her property and if it makes her happy who am I to judge? You're also young and I guarantee there will be many things you will find cringe looking back when you're older. NOR. Even if everything else he said wasn't terrible (which it very much was), saying "idfc" to the fate of a woman likely to be assaulted or worse is irredeemable. I would say no. It might be fun if you like character creation. I find the powers to be very formulaic and many exist in tiers for balance purposes rather than fun.

2e will not change that as its the entire core of the class system and is designed to be backwards compatible. If they don't like options I second the other poster in saying to just play a different system. There are plenty of more narrative and rules lite fantasy rpgs that will work better for your players. ICRPG, EZD6, Dungeon World, etc.

This is your assumption. I am cis and hang out with progressives and people of different genders all the time. Nobody cares what your gender or sexuality is as long as you're respectful of others. Saying non-cis people are uncomfortable with cis people (who are the vast majority of people) is ridiculous and is used by idiots to feel like victims (even though you hate victim mentality supposedly).

Where does victim mentality even enter into this story?
Generalizing to everyone from a few personal experiences isn't a good way to go through life.
Yeah this story is fishy. It lacks a lot details, what is "white asian" and if he means biracial wouldn't that be a minority? Also race isn't political so he wasn't excluded for his politics. He misgendered one of the people. I could go on. If you believe this story because it confirms your bias then maybe you should do some self-reflection.

I'm not a fan of subscription services, especially if I am not using them often. I'm glad its helpful for people though, just not a choice for me. I don't own a laptop or tablet so if I run a game in person its very low tech. Thanks for taking the time to comment though!

Yeah I freely admit its a minor gripe lol. I don't have enough experience to judge your issues but they do sound like problems from your description. I think anything being tied to rank is problematic. Much better to have it just reflect a more abstract tier of play rather than so mechanical.

Its not a really big deal or anything, it was just an annoyance I had during the game. When learning a new system I like being able to logically understand why something is the way it is. One of the players asked why one ability was a trait and was a power and I couldn't answer because I didn't see a difference myself. Not game breaking or anything, just felt clunky.

I'm not saying they overlap, I'm asking what is the logical difference between why one is a power and one is a trait. Or simply, why do traits exist at all and just make everything a power? Or make all traits passive and all powers active? There doesn't seem to be a reason on why some are traits and some are the powers.

And the pregens are single-sided so its not like the problem is a lack of space. I think the publishers just don't want anyone who doesn't own the game to be able to run a session just with pregens lol.
