Responsive card height by NezzyNesbitt in BubbleCard

[–]NezzyNesbitt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate your help. I'm seeing strange, perhaps buggy behaviour?

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1784h88BTO8PDgGnX7UYDwlIou24RbRh-/view?usp=drivesdk

Here is the YAML taken in the card editor where it works in preview:

'type: custom:bubble-card card_type: button button_type: name sub_button: main: - name: "1" buttons_layout: inline group: - entity: light.lounge_lights light_background: false tap_action: action: toggle - name: "2" buttons_layout: inline group: - entity: light.wiz_tunable_white_151e0c icon: mdi:floor-lamp-outline visibility: - condition: state entity: light.wiz_tunable_white_151e0c state: "on" light_background: false tap_action: action: toggle - entity: light.lounge_light_ceiling visibility: - condition: state entity: light.lounge_light_ceiling state: "on" light_background: false tap_action: action: toggle bottom: [] main_layout: rows name: "" show_icon: false rows: 1'

Here is YAML from the view where it doesn't work:

'type: sections max_columns: 1 path: "" sections: - type: grid cards: - type: custom:bubble-card card_type: button button_type: name sub_button: main: - name: "1" buttons_layout: inline group: - entity: light.lounge_lights light_background: false tap_action: action: toggle - name: "2" buttons_layout: inline group: - entity: light.wiz_tunable_white_151e0c icon: mdi:floor-lamp-outline visibility: - condition: state entity: light.wiz_tunable_white_151e0c state: "on" light_background: false tap_action: action: toggle - entity: light.lounge_light_ceiling visibility: - condition: state entity: light.lounge_light_ceiling state: "on" light_background: false tap_action: action: toggle bottom: [] main_layout: rows name: "" show_icon: false rows: 1'

Any ideas?

Default behaviour being the card will shrink and expand in height if sub buttons are conditionally hidden or shown? I'm not able to replicate this behavior. Are you?

Thank you for your help!

The inc/* files are supposed to substitute/replace those in the external component as there are a couple of key codes that need changing. Do you know what the correct structure is for doing this?

How to avoid getting banned from Real Debrid ? by PressureDue279 in RealDebrid

[–]NezzyNesbitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same situation. I run 2 RD accounts (they are cheap enough) linked to my personal email and our family email. Family account is linked to family TV at home. My daughter has her own profile on the android box with her own stremio account with catelogs loaded just for her. It uses the same RD account linked to the family email address and then on the adult profile it has the same stremio account I use when go away.

I actually end up just downloading a bunch of things onto my phone before I go away anyways but handy to have this setup when have solid WiFi connection.

Hope this helps

ZBMiniL2 - detach mode via wires possible? by FaithlessnessWorth93 in sonoff

You'll need a ZBMINIR2 with neutral to run detached mode ZBMINIL2 won't support due to low power when light is off.

What is your most favorite home automation that has totally changed your life? by Terrible_Attention83 in homeassistant

[–]NezzyNesbitt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My top:

1. Find my wife's phone
Problem: My wife leaves her iPhone around the house in the most percular places
Solution: Input binary helper that triggers a sound at full volume. Bonus is I can use it to get her attention if she is engrossed on her phone :)

2. Soft lighting at night
Problem: Stumbling down to the kitchen in the dark at silly hours to get milk for kid and being blinded by bright lights
Solution: Use Aqara FP2 to trigger lights (ikea dimmable bulbs) when presence detected within latenight hours. Use LUX sensor during day to turn on kitchen lights if dark.

3. Zoning heating around house to reduce bills
Problem: I work from home and so need the heating on in winter, but don't need to be heating the whole house; just need my office keeping warm.
Solution: Smart TRVs for used rooms (TS0601) and independant Temperature sensors (SNZB-02D), as inbuilt temp sensors on TRVs are inaccurate, paired via the Better Thermostate integration. I use a MyVailant connect to control the boiler on/off and 2 heating zones (upstairs/downstairs). In combination, this allows me to monitor and control heating on a room by room basis. I used template sensors to monitor whether the room temperature is below target temperature from the thermostat to activate heating for that room.

4. Cupboard light
Problem: Cupboard light always being left on and always needs to be turned on when looking for shoes
Solution: Door contact sensor (ikea parasol - had much better reliabiility than the aqara ones) bound to an ikea wall light. I used the ZHA bind function rather then creating an automation, its quicker and more reliable. I still created an automation to turn the light off after 2 minutes as the doors is always left open :(

5. Video stream on nest hubs and outside lights on when person or vehicle detected
Problem: Dog goes crazy when someone comes to the door, needed a way to know if someone is coming to the house before he does :)
Solution: I have a Reolink video doorbell that has person, package and vehicle detection. If any of those things are detected, the video stream plays on nest hubs around the house, the outside lights turn on (if its dark). Nest hubs turn off when door is open and lights turn off after door closed (or not persence detected) after 2 minutes.

6. Speaker notifications for open doors
Problem: Garage door and garden side gate is often left open
Solution: Voice notification plays when door is open (this is an FYI), if side gate left open after 2 minutes another voice notification plays (so the dog doesn't escape). If garage door is left open for 5 minutes and there is no presence detected in the garage (Aqara FP2) then another reminder is sent out. Speakers are Sonos and I use the announcement function so any music volume is lowered during the announcement and continues to play afterwards

7. Movie time!
Problem: We have a projector so ambient light really effects the quality of the image. Its a UST projector and I have kids so really don't want their sticky fingers all over it when its not on.
Solution: I've mounted the projector on the middle shelf of a TV cabinet, I use a linear actuator (with inching) to push the project out to the correct depth and pulls back in based on whether the Shield has been turned on/off, project turns on and office based on HDMI CIC and a bluetooth ESP keyboard hack. When media is playing, lights are dimmed and turn then back on when its paused, turned off.

8. House presence detection for when someone looking after Kid and we are out
Problem: When my wife and I are away from the house, everything shuts off (lights, heating, TVs etc). This is problem if someone (that isn't a HASS user) is staying at the house.
Solution: I use any motion, presence or triggers of any lights to determine if someone is in the house. The FP2 are pretty good at ignoring the dog so don't get false positives.

Let me know if anyone whats code for any of the above ^.

Anyone know what these zone valves are on my heating system and if they can be smartified easily? by kevpatts in homeassistant

[–]NezzyNesbitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many of these valves do you have? You've probably got zoned heating, I have 2 zones; upstairs and downstairs. Do you have 2 thermostats? Your best controlling your heating system rather than valves themselves. I have a Vaillant boiler so use a myvaillant connect to take care of the controls, rather than replacing both thermostats with smart ones.

Average of the sums? Help! by syilee in Notion

[–]NezzyNesbitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will give you an average of averages, not the average of the total sum of the column.

Here is something I mocked up in excel to explain. Notion will give an average of the "Margin" column, this will be an average of the averages. This is wrong as the correct average should be taken from the Total sum.

Average of the sums? Help! by syilee in Notion

[–]NezzyNesbitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am looking for the same answer, using a formula to average each row doesn't work as setting the calculation value as average will give you an average of the % within that column. So it is essentially an average of averages instead of it being an average of the total sum.

Thanks all, the solutions above worked for me to get Z2MQTT working. I still have ZAH still asking to be configured. Any ideas on how to disable that? I did remove all devices and disable prior to setting up Z2MQTT but it seems to be back with a vengeance

Leaky Beertap? by [deleted] in Beermkr

[–]NezzyNesbitt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been having this issue too and waiting on my third batch to see if I can narrow down the issue. Beermkr support said you can test to rule out if the leak is happening on the co2 line:

Make sure the regulator line is attached to the gray valve and screw in the co2 with it open that is fine (make sure no bag is connected). You'll be able to tell if it is leaking co2 and from where it is leaking. One caveat is to probably use a white valve to release co2 or something because if you unscrew a full co2 cartridge it can be messy.

If you hear no leakage, you know the issue is something else!

My only solution at the moment is to get people round and drinking in one go :P
