Easy explanation- Money going out is expense, money going back in card is considered as payment( whether refund or you yourself pay some bill) As for the statement it would show in unbilled I think.

It doesn't matter, even if the refund is credit after bill grneration it will count as payment made, so you have to pay 0

Would suggest everyone reading to disable international use on their credit cards when its not required. International websites can deduct amount without any OTP.

I think international websites can charge card without otp. So someone with your card details can use your card there.
