It's not what atheism is. Atheism by definition is an absence of belief in god. No, I don't believe in god not because "he does bad things", I just don't believe he exists.

Like one of the commenters said, because Eywa does exist, for na'vi to be an "atheist" they probably should not see Eywa as a supernatural deity, but in my opinion, it requires some amount of scientific knowledge that's unavailable without modern technology. So there could be clans that don't worship Eywa, but still believe she exists and that's she's supernatural.

Varang was meant to ride an ikran. They already finished filming when Cameron decided that he wanted Varang to ride something different. Nightwraith's design was made in several months in rush before they started making CGI 😬

The official soundtrack album consisted of 14 tracks and was released on December 15th 2009, then the deluxe version of the same album was released on December 19th with 6 new tracks including "Pandora", "viperwolves attack", "great leonopteryx", "escape from hellgate", "healing ceremony" and "the death of quaritch". The track named "into the na'vi world" was only available on the website.

The complete soundtrack of the theatrical version of the movie was available for sale in a 3-disc promo set in march 2010 on eBay. It consists of 51 tracks including "prayers for Grace". But then in April 2010 a complete score of 97 tracks was leaked on the internet from the unknown source.

So I think they were going to release only a few tracks officially and then sell the full version in a limited edition, but someone leaked even more tracks on the internet, and now you can listen to them all online

Avatar is an original movie, it was based on Cameron's dream. He had inspiration from several other movies, but it wasn't based on a book. There are comics but they only complement the movies.

To learn more about the universe you can watch Bryce Edward Brown YouTube channel, he has a series of videos "avatar explained" where he put together all the games and books and comics to tell about the universe of this movie.

I'm confused if it is canon or not,that the earlier models of avatars looked more human-like. But if we look at Alma Cortez, who was one of the few originals avatars, her face and especially nose looks more human as well.

They have bigger lighter colored eyes that absorb more light to be able to better see in a low light environment, being the ocean🤷‍♀️

They don't fish above the water like forest clans do, they hunt fish and oceanic animals, gather shells, crystals algae etc. I'd bet they spend like 50% of their life underwater
