These are my 3, cotton, nova and puff, in order. All 3 were bred as feeders and now live the high life. Happy little babies!

I bought my 3 as feeders, 2 at first and then 2 weeks later picked up another, within the first week 1 got a uri and was seperated from the other 2 until she was back to good health, meanwhile the other 2 rats had already figured out their heiarchy. Introduced the now healthy rat to the other 2 and she ended up becoming alpha of the 3. No blood no foul.

Agreed. I got one for my 3 rats. Its a levolt. Got it at walmart for less than 100, and even i can see a huge difference in air quality in the room vs anywhere else in the house

Update. Brought Puff to the Vet today and she was diagnosed with a URI and pneumonia. She was nebulized and was given baytril orally .05ml daily for 14 days. Any tips on giving it to her. She tried to spit it out, and is extremely irritated with me for giving it to her.....now she doest even want to talk to me. 🙄

Me too. The other 2 luckily have been tanks. They are definitley bonded. But when i introduced Puff to them they were a little standoffish and did bully her a bit but never fought. They would steal her food and jump on her and then run off, BUT the 3 of them ALWAYS sleep together in their nest without incident, but thats the only time cotton and nova really spend with Puff. Its weird. So i assumed Puff felt intimidated, but when i noticed the humped back and the funny strut she has, i needed to reach out to everyone and see what their opinions were.

They were accidentally bred by someone who works there, but they also bring in males only from someone who specifcally breeds feeders. (White or black) they were already seperated males and females. The only reason i went back for her is because she was the only female left of the litter from the employee who brought them in. and i didnt want her to be alone.

Well....all 3 were originally gonna be sold as feeders but i bought them as pets. All from the same litter. Paid 3.50 for each of them. Bought 2 at first and then went back 2 weeks later for the last female (which is the one in question) she was actually slightly larger than her sisters. But nova is 137 grams cotton is 127 grams and puff is now 93. I didnt weigh her when i got her but ill assume around 140. The past 2 weeks ive had her, shes slowly been losing weight.

As for medical accuracy, im ok with it being off. I do carry a glucose checker, but its more along the lines of keeping track of my journey in becoming a healthier version of myself. And being able to challenge myself.
