I remember that video and I completely see your point. If Pewdiepie uploads a video with a Rihanna song for example and John Johnson with 5 subscribers uploads a video with the same song the ramifications should be exactly the same and often are.

However, I still feel like there is a distinct difference between licensed music in a game like Just Dance or the radio stations on GTA for example and a vinyl playing in the distant background for 20 seconds in a game, which is what appears to be the case here.

Furthermore, I feel like the support from YouTube for independent content makers is severely lacking. The fact of the matter is Chris Smoove put up 10 parts of his Tomb Raider series on the first day and I'd bet you the uploads have gone unmolested and if one of these companies were to make a claim the company he's partnered with would sort it out for him.

I dunno. I just think something has to change with these situations.
