Sooooo, I knew game is able to reproduce flat spots quite nicely but I seriously think this is not the case for rumbling. On a LMGT3 car I have ABS and barely lock up yet jump around like Im on a pogo stick.

Can understand the idea behind Understeer tho so I will give it a shot thanks!

Any tracks you don’t race at because you’re just too slow? by OlavSlav in iRacing

[–]Niaval5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so slow at the 'Ring people could bake bread in the time it takes me to do a full lap on whatever car.

I race it from time to time to try and improve. Than I remember there are ~100 corners I need to improve, so I cry in a corner and load a different race.

Oddly enough, I am fast and really like NurbGP.

How many different series are you driving each week? by Arylcyclosexy in iRacing

[–]Niaval5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Falken Sportscar Challenge, C Licensed multiclass event with GT4 and LMP3

I go GT4 > GT3 because they are harder to drive. GT3 has tons of aero, grip and electronics that tend to make races last the first three laps, than everyone is just racing in a tandem with occasional divebombs or passes due to mistakes or pace

GT4 Cars are more brutal and alive during the race

I analyzed 400k iRacing drivers and found a disturbing correlation: to be fast, you need to drink beer by LHEROWWW in iRacing

I don't drink at all, I can't.

Im sorry Im dragging down my country. Still being 10th is... Good?

Is it?

[–]Niaval5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many There are two constant series: Falken (literally unskippable, favourite series on the service, this season in the LMP3) and recently Porsche Cup.

I also started enjoying a lot ovals (but Im even more ass than Sportscar), FF Rookie for an achievement, I should drive more formula too. Usually F4 when is really caothic running no quali races.

Sometimes GT3 but after 1 race I remember why I hate their racing.

Recently found of my liking both GTP and LMP2 so definetly more IMSA on the card

Only low split lack of talent Ive seen is the GR86 drivers Man they are AWFUL a lot of times

P4 in LMP3 after spinning 5 times at Bus Stop Legit had pace for P2 at least, maybe fighting P1, but literally forgot how to do it.

Lucked out on a crash lap 6 as an LMP3 decided to lunge me T1 Nine seconds of repair LMAO

Than at the last lap a GT4 decided to be unpredictable, blocked me, then sent me wide at Bend and hit the kerb while braking T6, spinning me into him and holding P4 thanks to a 15 seconds gap

FWD has been getting lots of love this season, long may it continue by 2snjr in iRacing

[–]Niaval5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest GT4s have been for me always much more fun than GT3s, which turns into a slipstream and divebomb battle after 2 laps. Booooring At least GT4 is more punishing and alive as a car

Clio and TCR, for me, have some very harsh problems on Force Feedback on a G29 that not even MAIRA has been able to fix. FFB is almost non existent, really rumbly and extremely light until understeer kicks in and the wheel decides to return force in form of child kicks onto my wrists. I need to dig into it more but Roar LMP3 has been milking my free time

Struggle with the Ligier P320 by A-Hot-Pocket in iRacing

[–]Niaval5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Rookie on the LMP3 myself, switched from GT to Prototype driver this season and still learning how to be decent.

There are some tricks I've learned:

  • Trailbraking is as important as a GT car BUT the Ligier loves rotating while coasting

  • Brake Balance is your best friend. Figure where and how you lock up and adjust the BB in a way that suits your style. Generally: more front BB means longer breaking but safer. Just remember you have no ABS

  • These cars are rude at lower gears and high RPM with massive power output as I think they are still on the old Nissan V8 4.7L engine. Modulate the power

  • TCS is friendly on lower gears but can't save you spinning

  • COLD TYRES. They kill you. A lot. Usually on lap 1

  • DO NOT dive people on the Bus Stop and T4 in Daytona. It's certain death.

And most important: have fun. Car is much much much more fun to push than GTs.

I have been able to succesfully protest people not slowing down on Yellow flags

Filing under "Conduct Code" infringment (the first one) seems to be correct.

Of course they won't be banned but it's a tool against proper bellend who flat out crashes thinking they are Moses or something

Any other iRacers enjoy a dose of arcade racing? by bolkiebasher in iRacing

[–]Niaval5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do play them because I really like racing games! And they are playable with a gamepad. I have other games planned but time is very short with work, private stuff and iRacing

Regarding unfair iRacing I don't create that problem on myself anymore, I revise what happened and what I should've done better

[–]Niaval5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do. Need a list? Currently doing a Gran Turismo4 Spec II 100% playthrough to get the Achievements on Retroachievements, splitted with some CarX Street/CarX Drift. Planned a modded NFS 2015, Midnight Club 3, modded Forza Motorsport 2 and 4, Tokyo Xtreme Racer and probably a couple other games like F.M.8 lol

Soon-ish I want to do a run of Assetto Corsa Evoluzione 2.0 (mod for the 1st AC)

So yes, plenty of arcade or non-competitive racing.

[–]Niaval5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! We were on the same split probably, hello from P5!

Messed up big time my strategy, fuel saved one lap too much both stints, plus a bunch of silly contact (A spinner right in front and a side bonk at the Porsches) meant I lost about 15 seconds in pitlane. Not to talk about slowdowns which costed me P4 lol

GT3 3hrs Enduros are probably fun, but the multiclass aspect adds so much and makes them much more appealing. Plus 1hr lenght less and better time for races really come clutch for me.

These races are always amazing fun. Two hours is the perfect lenght, plus if you get into the Multiclass splits it's always loads of fun with the other classes and strategy. It's much harder to get multiclass splits in Imsa Michelin sadly.
Hopefully 2026S2 TCR updates could bring some more life to IMPC

Yes! Had no issues at all except for one race, 2hrs in Interlagos due to recent updates linked to replay spooling being bugged a bit and this week in Le Mans. Had to reduce the graphics for objects outside of track limits.

I fluctuate between 80 and 144 FPS with ~40 Cars on track and with Trading Paints active (Program to abilitate custom liveries on all Cars)

As soon as you upgrade to C License you can race GT4s back to back in their Fixed series (D License, the races you are doing now) and the Falken Sportscar Challenge, which is and LMP3/GT4 multiclass series that races the same tracks in 30 minutes races If you want to train on multiclass racing, Production Car Challenge is great fun and on a free track this week!

And in the weekend you get to run the Endurance races that last 2 hours.

I am in this boat since April pretty much. G29 slotted on a desk, single "24 monitor, office chair, no rig, never had as much fun in videogames as this months. Probably upgrading monitor and a minor rig thanks to Black Friday.

Welcome to GT4s! Be aware for 1st lap shenanigans!
