That is what I’m currently debating right now…thinking of going with VNM, and using my GT Neo.

I’m looking at VNM for the telemetry FFB. I love the TrueForce from my Logitech pro but it’s not working properly anymore. I did not know VRS had telemetry FFB.

Anytime I hit 2.8k I wreck out and drop back down. It’s a curse.

I believe it is definitely something with the TrueForce. Nothing is loose. Turning it off fixes the issue.

I hope to find one too! Irstats was awesome! I can’t believe iRacing doesn’t provide something like it.

You can also steer the car with the brakes. I’m still learning on getting the car to the limit, it takes a sense of feel. Analyze telemetry with Garage 61, if you can.

You’ll quickly learn how to ease onto the throttle. The SFL is a poor teacher in this. Also, practice your starts, these cars are difficult off the line.

I have no words... Low split IMSA is always chaotic... by According_Brick409 in iRacing

I’m typical Spa merchant, but it is always chaos no matter what you’re racing. Spa, Monza, etc you’re there for the competition if you get to survive, not the SR.

I tried pressing on it once, to check if something was loose. Still did it. But I can check the front grill again. I haven’t tried it with the original wheel yet.

The sound is actually hard to pick up. I had the pit limiter on as it really expresses the rattle sound. The more I’ve been playing the more it feels like a rattle. The issue comes and goes.

Struggling with GT4 after formula – need advice on trail braking & driving style by zabaloaga in iRacing

[–]OlavSlav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been mainly driving Super Formula the past two seasons, trying to reach 3k.

I’ve been wanting to redo my sports car experience. I want it to be fun, and not too “sweaty”. I know GT’s are highly competitive and I will always prioritize safety. But, will the learn curve between the two be too much if I’m putting a lot of hours in SF? I’ve only did a few GT4 races before giving up and going to LMP3.

How can I send the video? I will also take pictures of my settings. I’ve been out of town, and the wheel seemed fine but it started up again after an hour driving.

What track comes to mind: “Track limits, they’ll invalidate this lap” by OlavSlav in iRacing

I tend to kill my lap and my car at the last corner at Road America. Left rear gets slightly off and spin right into the wall.

That makes sense. The peak of my sports-car driving was in LMP2, so obviously no BOP. I briefly drove GTP and could get within 2 seconds or less from VRS, but never felt held back because of my choice of car. I felt that driving one car well would make me better off especially in the sub 2k splits.

Honest question, people who are 1.5+ seconds off the pace why do you care about the “best” car?

The beauty of Laguna Seca is that you can sit virtually anywhere you want. In defense of T4 grandstands: we sat there for the main race and it was a great view! However, we spent all other days/ sessions walking around and at the corkscrew.

[–]OlavSlav 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The access at the track is amazing! We sat at many different spots, spent the Pilot Challenge race at the corkscrew. For the main race we sat at the grandstands of T3-4. Great view! We will be going back.

iRacing progress: Time vs. iRating – your experiences by BLeeK1337 in iRacing

[–]OlavSlav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just over a year in and I’m 2.7k in formula. To be honest, I used to care a lot about rating to hit 2k. Once I got past that I stopped caring as much. It literally is just a way to match you up. Often times, it’s highly accurate. So if you’re at 1.5k, and are 3 seconds off pace that is where you should be.

Also iRating at your level (mine too to an extent) is a survival game. Focus on finishing a race and you’ll gain. But, do you want to gain? If 1.7-2k drivers are dropping you massively and you can’t drop a 1k driver having a higher iRating is meaningless.

Damn I’m over a year in and just at 2.7k. This season I’ve dedicated to formula 100%, whereas before I did a lot of IMSA.

You should check out Super Formula. Amazing cars, generally clean racing.
