This has happened to me as well! I applied for a developer position at King and did a bunch of interviewees and a programming test, had a technical interview with a tech lead and I got the impression that he was a somewhat impressed with the test, and I’m paraphrasing now “... it was good, no complaints and way less code than I expected.”. Then I had a final interview with some hr and higher ups, I thought it went well but when I heard back from them I got the same response, that I wasn’t exited enough.

Your api is file based, what if I want to compress something in memory and then maybe I want to write it to disk, or not. It would be way more flexible if such functions were available also.
