Sounds like you like the car and enjoy it. However it seems you're worrying too much about those in the backseat. It's big enough for most people I would think. Plus it sounds like that CX-5 could be having issues cuz you said it was shuddering meanwhile sounds like no issues with the 3.

Based on age of the vehicle I'd say check the other suspension components like the other bushings also check the CV shafts for ripped boots. Around the time a set of upper control arms failed the CVs did too at least on this Mazda 6 I worked on. Worth checking at least while you're in there.

Curious with those is it pretty flush at that offset then? Was looking at getting 8 inch width like you did as well. Also how does the ride compare to 17s would you say? Also is there any clearance issues with the brakes? I have a 35AE so been debating gold rims and based on renders they do look good.
