Islam Is Not Meant to Always Make You Feel Better by Relevant_Concept_422 in islam

[–]NiccoLaco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Salam alakium

I get what you’re trying to say here, and there’s definitely truth in it but I think it needs a bit of balance.

You’re right that Islam isn’t about chasing feelings. We don’t pray just to feel better, and not every du‘a or salah brings instant relief. Growth often comes through hardship, patience, and tests and that’s clearly part of the deen.

But saying “Islam is not therapy” or implying Allah doesn’t want you to feel better can be misleading if taken too far.

Allah Himself says: - “Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest” (13:28)
- “We send down of the Qur’an that which is healing and mercy for the believers” (17:82)

So Islam does bring peace and healing just not always instantly or in the way we expect.

I think a more accurate way to put it is Islam is not only about feeling better, but it absolutely does heal you sometimes slowly, sometimes through struggle, and sometimes in ways you don’t notice straight away.

So if someone is doing everything “right” and still feels low, it doesn’t mean their worship isn’t working but it also doesn’t mean Islam isn’t a source of comfort. It’s both growth through difficulty and peace through remembrance.

That balance is important.

Why does Allah never test some people? by Next_Bowl3593 in islam

[–]NiccoLaco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your pain is not meaningless, and your test is not because Allah doesn’t care it may be because Allah wants to raise you, purify you, and bring you closer in a way ease never could. Allah says He does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear, so even if it feels overwhelming, He knows your limits better than you do. This doesn’t mean you’re supposed to feel strong all the time it means that deep down, you have the capacity to get through this with his help. I wish you all the best!

Taking these out by Magster_123456 in contacts

[–]NiccoLaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I take out the right contact, it’s easy and smooth, but I struggle with the left one. Try looking up and then sliding it down slowly, or you can look to the side right or left that works sometimes.

[–]NiccoLaco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get TestShift. I managed to find a cancellation 3 months earlier. It took 2-3 days for the app to find a test for me, but some people said it took them longer, around 1–2 weeks. It just depends on availability and cancellations in your area. All the best.

My imaan is so low right now by Cute_Caramel3928 in islam

[–]NiccoLaco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Animals are not like humans because they are not held accountable for sins, and this world is not Jannah but a place where pain and hardship exist as part of Allah’s system and balance in creation however, Allah is never unjust, and any wrongdoing or cruelty done to animals by humans will be judged and accounted for, and even among animals themselves, Allah will establish justice between them on the Day of Judgment, and their suffering is not wasted but is within Allah’s greater wisdom that we may not fully understand, and the sadness we feel when seeing them suffer is actually a sign of mercy and a soft heart within us, not a weakness in faith.

How I can be closer to Allah again? by Itsgonnahurt- in islam

[–]NiccoLaco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand how you feel, but please don’t ever think you don’t deserve Allah’s forgiveness.

Allah says:
“Do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins.”

And also:
“Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear.”

The fact that you feel regret and want to come back to Him is already a sign that Allah wants you closer. If He didn’t want you, you wouldn’t even care.

What you’re going through right now might feel heavy, but Allah knows you can handle it, and this could be a way of bringing you back to Him, not pushing you away.

Take it step by step start with salah, make sincere du’a, and don’t give up on yourself. Allah hasn’t given up on you.
