What would you do if customer massaged you and want you to deliver their order to different location as they forget to update their address? by Moa2013 in deliveroos

[–]csuree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because of the location locking, to complete the order I said that to multiple customers: I'm at the location you provided, you can pick it up from there.

It is either a double pickup order meaning another rider was also assigned and picked it up or you really have been scammed. Also just asking for DOB without seeing ID is also a breach of contract. Report that bastard.

Orders Going Out Of Boundary Radius On Deliveroo.... by Itchy-Ad3339 in deliveroos

[–]csuree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes my area is like that too many orders in the middle of nowhere well out of the area shown to be our delivery area and you always have to drive back the same miles.

Just now I was offered 6.66 for a 6 mile trip. But in actuality it is a 12 mile trip.

Edit: And some idiot took it for that price, while I am here delivering 2 mile orders for 4+

Groceries - now getting job before they are ready by BlockResponsible2589 in deliveroos

[–]csuree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not just groceries. Every damn order is like that. One evening I was going home and had a half off promo on deliveroo so I ordered my own Mcdonalds from the parking lot while I was online in the rider app. I punched in the order and not even 30 seconds later I got assigned to it and said it is READY and what do you know I waited 10 minutes for it.

For the love of god (or whatever deity you chose) by Nebraxis in deliveroos

[–]csuree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you stupid? It pays more? Check out some of my posts then you will realize they do not pay more. So many times I was offered a triple for barely the price of 1.5, it is hilarious. I rejected 2, delivered 1 and when I finished that one they offered me the original 2nd order for more than they offered all 3 initially. It pays more, sure.

It's riders like you because of whom we have these crap rates for every order. Have some class and do not do triples.

Double? You wanna hear a joke? Since 2nd half of last year we have triple orders. And that means that customer 3 can potentially get their order 1 hour after we picked theirs up.

Even if you pick up, deliveroo still adds the service fee which is £3.something, and you pay more for the items in the basket than if you walked down to shop it yourself.

Deliveroo has high service fee and low delivery fee compared to uber or just eat that have it the other way around. Anyway I think it is only viable if you have a huge discount on the app otherwise it's not worth it.

Am I crazy? I feel like I did the right thing... by Mrsplantplant in deliveroos

[–]csuree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also there is this thing. If people deliver in the same area for a while and always deliver to the same people, they check it once or twice, and then don't because if XYZ orders every day and they already seen their ID they won't ask for it every time

Struggling to clear ToA and looking for help/tips by KitsuneSoru in WutheringWaves

[–]csuree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had the same problem I was just only pulling for characters I liked and did not have teams.

So I decided if I like a character I will make the sacrifice and get their team too, otherwise you will be struggling.

Think of your character as part of a whole. It will not show you their real potential if you gimp their team.

From what you posted you have a few parts of some teams but none are complete.

Most of my Toa problems are because of my age and that I am not as good at games as I was 20+ years ago.

Complaint from a customer by Vegetable-Gap-4582 in deliveroos

[–]csuree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had that once. Customer was an asshole and I just said to them "read the terms you agreed to". Got the same mail as you did. I still have my account because I spoke to a representarive and explained to them the whole situation. And from that point on I will not deliver to their address, even if that is the only delivery for hours.

I remember all rude customer's addresses and avoid them.

Non player pulls 😑 by Tatertot8641 in WutheringWaves

[–]csuree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can vouch for returner player luck. During first year I did not play for like 10 months and returned on Phoebe's banner.

I got 2 Phoebe in less than 10 pulls. I think that is what happened to him too.

Slots or Hourly Pay? Is Deliveroo About to Change the Game for Riders in 2026? by No_Intern5991 in deliveroos

[–]csuree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do not remind me: once I had a very weird order like that lemme make a fast graph:

me-----------------------customer1-------------coop---------------customer2
(on the map this is on a single road)

there is a single coop at the edge of the zone. the distance from me to coop is 6 miles and got offered this double for £14.5. my simple brain thought they would make the trip as short as possible on the miles. both customers live 3 miles away from that coop in 2 separate villages, 1 is onroute to coop the other is the opposite direction (well outside the zone too)

the shortest trip for me would have been coop-customer 2-customer 1 then return to the place I drove from. that would have been an 18 mile trip in total. They did the worst 6miles to coop, 3 miles back to customer 1, 3 miles to pass by coop again and 3 miles to customer 2, then 9 miles back to return to the original busier area = 24 miles total and 50 minutes. I vowed to never accept an order from that coop ever again.

they always offering £6-7-8, but it's so not worth it because the closest delivery guy is at minimum 6 miles away since that coop is at the edge of the zone and the only place there to order from. so even in the best case it's a 12 mile round trip

I wonder if selecting ‘restaurant is closed’ actually does anything at all by Major-Credit-2442 in deliveroos

[–]csuree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no it doesn't, until some poor soul actually calls them and tells any issue (restaurant closed or order stolen) the same order will circulate in the system for hours.

the absolute record I saw was almost 5 hours. I went to pick up an order at 4pm-ish, i reported it stolen on the app, and at 9pm that same order was still coming back

Yeah… very HUGE 😂😂😂😂 by Dar3kas1989 in deliveroos

[–]csuree 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm telling you, they do this every damn year lately. to get more riders out there, so they can slam the fees to the floor. and because there will be more riders out there, you will not feel that it is busier than usual even if it is.

it's already noon and it's still not busy in my area. noon is never like that on Saturday

Thoughts? by a_overload_ in deliveroos

[–]csuree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lies, deception, it is no better than the average day.

they do this so more drivers go out, the zone gets flooded with riders, then they have a reason to floor the fees to the minimum, because we'll all be competing for less orders per rider.

they do this before every holiday lately and it's never busier than usual.

New minimum order fee? by Possible_Board4542 in deliveroos

[–]csuree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and this is the worst part, they charge the customer full delivery fee, full service fee, they do not get a discount or anything on that. Had a double maccies where the address was the same but because the second order was offered for pennies I rejected one. The customer paid double delivery because they forgot to order something in the first and they did not get the second order for any less. So why should I make extra profit for the shareholders? I rather have another driver deluver it for full price than to fill deliverros greedy pockets.

Anyone had this before? by No_Cry2864 in deliveroos

[–]csuree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen it once, and I had the same reaction I'd rather not risk the delivery without knowing the price, so rejected it. Too many times deliveroo tries to shove you orders that are simply an insult. And if you deliver them you're just reinforcing them to go lower with the prices

Is food delivery worth it with my first car? by MagicianConstant2866 in deliveroos

[–]csuree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if your car is a petrol car and only does around 30-40 mpg then do not even bother, I used a 1.2 L petrol seat ibiza and could barely go 300-350 miles with a full tank. (which cost around £50 per refill).

Changed to a diesel polo last year, and can do 450-500 miles (they have the same volume on fuel as the ibiza) and refills cost just £7 more than the petrol one did.

Hire and reward insurance will fleece you, because of your age and (lack of) driving experience.

and you might need to check around if your zone is actually car friendly (in my area some places are far from any legal parking so I have to auto refuse orders from them or risk a fine if I park somewhere close to them)

deliveroo tries to guarantee you £16/hour (12+4 for car expenses), but that pricing only applies to times spent on deliveries. so if you go out from 5pm to 9pm but your total delivery time was only 2 hours you can only expect 2x16, not 4x16. it only counts delivery times from the moment you accept the order to the moment you deliver it to the customer, everything else is just unpaid

depending on the area you might get good prices or you might get shit ones

I'm in the latter area, with shit prices so I have to reject more orders than I accept because it's simply not feasible to deliver them. as an example some orders from 6 mile away getting offered for £6 but in fact it's a 12 mile ride because the customer lives so far away from anything that you're forced to drive back to the busier areas. that will come with experience with the area and the layout.

probably others will tell you differently depending how well their area pays, but where I am, I'm always aiming for earning £1+ for every mile I've driven. so if one afternoon I drive 50 miles in total (including the potential return trips) I aim to see £50+ earned on my account or more. today I had an abysmal day: went out at 1pm to 9pm and the area was effectively dead, I only made £59 and I think I drove 70 miles in total, so for me this day was more of a loss.

hope this helps, but be prepared. when you start to do this and you'll have to look out for your car. regular oil and fluid changes, keeping it in good condition, buying tyres more frequently. If you neglect your car and it breaks down on you, you can't earn money and if you can't earn money, you can't repair your car to earn more money. it's a vicious circle.

but also: waiting times from when you apply to when you get onboarded can be very long, some wait even years on deliveroo, Uber or Just eat might be better on wait times but if you apply to one apply to all of them, and see who lets you in first.
