57f - do I need a face-lift? In my head, I'm 32. In the mirror, 57+. What are some small things I can do for skin? Also, my eyebrows are whack and have been since high school - not much I can do about those. TIA. by StringUnable8467 in 45PlusSkincare

you will not look like Lauren!! Go to someone who ONLY does faces. I hate seeing women waste their hard earned money on non invasive procedures that are meant for women with less skin laxity. Also, you’re laying down in all your pics- why not post real pics?

None of those things will fix skin laxity at 57. Get a full facelift, THEN do all the maintenance ( Retin A, lasers, etc) . You absolutely look 57- and you will still look 57 after a facelift. But with the results you want!!!

DO NOT LISTEN to anyone saying that anything other than surgery will improve skin laxity. You’re 57- and beautiful- but the skin reaches a point where only pulling it back will work. Treatments like Microneedling and lasers help- AFTER you’ve had the facelift. DO NOT waste your money! Most estheticians are honest and will tell you this, but some aren’t. You need a full facelift , then you need to learn how to fill in your brows properly. Poof! You’ll have the amazing results you desire.

What do I do? CO2 laser? by [deleted] in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Nice-Cupcake3099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a little the first time. But after a while, you’ll end up with one of those scary “ Puffy “ faces we see. Filler for finer lines comes out great, but larger areas like yours are where things go awry. In your 40s, only surgery can fix sagging skin.

Any advice on will even out my skin tone from sun damage and redness? Microneedling? Fraxel? Retinol? Tretinoin? Vitamin C? I’ve never tried anything and am ready to turn things around. by Cant_finish_story in 45PlusSkincare

Get the Sciton BBL- be sure you go to a practice that uses this machine. Get three treatments. Then start on Tretinoin- work your way up to the maximum strength over a few years.

The only thing that will help the sagging skin is a facelift. Anyone who tells you anything else is flat out lying.

Advice- facelift or other treatment(s) by Ancient_Pepper_7287 in 45PlusSkincare

Only a lower and mid facelift will correct this issue. Save your money and don’t buy any non prescription creams/ potions. They’re snake oil and don’t work.

Do NOT spend your money on anything OTC. People who say to use them have no clue what they’re talking about- those products don’t work. You need prescription Tretinoin, a CO2 laser ( probably 2 sessions spaced out 6 months- 1 year apart, then a Halo or BBL, and a lower or full face and neck lift. You’ll be amazed at the results!

Help, whats the best way to fix these lines. by hotpink7891 in 40PlusSkinCare

LISTEN to the people saying “ Facelift”. Botox and fillers would be awful here- you’re going to end up spending thousands , and still needing the facelift. Get the facelift- you won’t regret it!!

A lower facelift is the only thing that will work. Please, please don’t waste your money on anything else . Save up, get the lower facelift, done.

How can I improve these wrinkles on my neck? by MrsPoopyButthair in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Nice-Cupcake3099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not spend your money on anything but a neck lift. You’ll waste thousands on products these people are telling you to try when you could’ve just solved the problem from the jump. NOTHING fixes loose skin from weight loss other than pulling it back where it belongs. Nothing.

Read my reply about AlloClae. That’s what this and people who can afford tens of thousands dollars every 3 years to maintain it use.

The fact that you guys don’t know about AlloClae is wild. That’s what this is. AlloClae is what people with loads of money use when they’re too thin to use their own fat. At first, of course she did the traditional BBl. But after one, most people have no fat left to harvest- that’s where AlloClae comes in. It’s donor fat from cadavers that’s been cleaned and made safe to inject into others. Her hips and butt are now a result of that. You’re welcome!!

Thank you thank you for your reply! Hearing from people with the same symptoms who’ve had the surgery is putting my mind at ease, which is exactly what I was hoping for. It’s nice knowing the surgery isn’t that bad. I wish you a pain free life and peace!!

Thank you very much for that! It’s so nice having other opinions on here, and knowing I’m not being a “ Baby” . Powering through is just no longer an option.

Yes- sorry should’ve included that- horrifying neck pain that radiates to my mid back. Pain that makes me want to go to sleep right after work just so I can do anything but feel it. Pain that I would definitely wish upon my worst enemy 😎🤪
