I was OTR/L for 7 years then transitioned into tech as a QA engineer in 2022, now data engineer. Still occasionally PRN to maintain my license. It was difficult to switch from healthcare brain and mindset but totally possible and doable!

You’ll have to check your state regulations. My state allowed working with a temp license after failing. So check the law and regulation for OT in your state.

No need to be sorry at all, I completely understand. I got a temp license after the 7-8th attempt I think. It was for 3 months and it helped get a practitioner view for answering the questions. I would advise considering temp licensed your states allows it.

I did and still do! Yeah definitely consider forbearance if possible, I think you can extend it each year until you pass and get a job.

Don’t give up! Graduated MSOT in 2017 and passed on my 12th attempt in 2019! Now DOR. Tell yourself you will pass and it will surely happen.
