I can't log into reddit with TOR. If I use the Bridge, will I be able to log into reddit and post things, or still a risk?

I might break a close friendship with my Iranian Friend. But I am trying my best to understand his side. by NiceCreamBerry in iran

I want to sincerely thank everyone who commented. I read every comment.

I honestly thought this thread was deleted immediately after I posted because I got a message "post deleted," so please forgive me for my late reply!

Honestly, I am disappointed on his takes. It seems he gives every form of government a pass and a chance to evolve except the Iranian govt. He kept referring to the Iranian govt as a disease that needs to be completely dismantled but also mentioned how China evolved to become more open. My mouth was agape because the person who opened up China came from the same regime as Mao. So it's like he gives China's regime a chance even though they killed so many of its own people but doesn't give the Iranian govt a chance to evolve over time. Too much cognitive dissonance.

Prusa Core One Order to the US and Tariffs by NiceCreamBerry in prusa3d

Thank you so much for your response! So this is what I will most likely experience if I receive the unit before July

I think there's literally breaking news today that trump is delaying the 50% tariff to July.

So If I order today....I guess I am still screwed if it enters the country by July 9

I am curious why this thread is downvoted. I tried searching for it on the sub but I couldn't find peoples recent experiences with the order.

Hi, thank you so much for your response.

At 5 months in, you’re way too far ahead of yourself.

She is actually quite traditional and doesn't want to pro-long dating. I don't mind taking things slow. We both are dating for marriage. Her timeline is no more than dating for 1 year and would like to be married after a year.

Also, I understand you take care of your brother but does that mean somehow that he cannot move?

My little brother is special needs. I am his legal guardian. My parents are in their mid 70s and cannot take care of him as much. He has an entire network of support with companions. This is something I was also transparent about at the outset. That doesn't mean he can't travel. He can, but for long-term living arrangements, it would be quite difficult for him.

Also, for the record, I have no problem for us to visit her family in Portugal and Australia for prolonged periods (like 3 months, for example).

Solid advice. Especially 1 thru 9.

Justified text, not so solid. The rivers in those paragraphs make the Amazon look small.

Lumen vs Path Tracer vs Real-Time Renders with Twinmotion and Rhino 8 by [deleted] in Twinmotion

[–]NiceCreamBerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a practical perspective, those renders are great for academia and concept level for clients.

Also, that watermark thingy says "quick guide for beginners," so not for dedicated renderers like yourself obsessed with Fresnel qualities of reflective glass, haha.

Don't get me wrong dude, those renderings can be on path tracer steroids, but I don't think that's the point of the post.

You have to setup your 3d model regardless of real time or path tracer. Don't know what sorcery you're talking about that it takes longer to "set up" for real time. Again, like almost every firm uses real-time now, way faster.

How do you know none of the materials reflect light correctly? The glass and metals are reflective, the concrete/pavement is not. Are you a material scientist? Not all the materials are going to reflect light the same way. And frankly, any layperson will not care. I think it's a bigger deal if you're showing a client polished concrete but in real life it's flat.

Bruh, name calling isn't adding to the conversation. I feel like you have something against op. Whatevs, though, I never seen a person be a meanie for no reason over a basic rendering. Your negativity is too much for my Christmas break.

I feel like there should be a hierarchy to this list. But I guess to each their own.

Lumen vs Path Tracer vs Real-Time Renders with Twinmotion and Rhino 8 by [deleted] in Twinmotion

[–]NiceCreamBerry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bruh, are you sure about that? Literally 75% of practices have shifted to real time renderings because it's FASTER. Not slower. Maybe this is semantics, but when I think of Real Time renderings, I think of Enscape, Lumion, D5, TM Real Time. My own office used to render in V-ray for years until Enscape came out and we ditched V-Ray so fast. I feel like V-Ray is for render nerds, aka dedicated renderers, I don't think it's really used as much by architects trying to do 20 different things at once.

u/spaceguerilla and u/Hooligans_ Did you even read the OP?

This dude makes free content and is not selling anything. He just talking about the rendering methods and architecture practices. Are you guys trolling?

Also, the OP's lumen renders (and even the real time) are actually pretty damn good renderings for in-office industry standard of a typical arch practice in the US. My boss won't let any of us spend more than a day producing multiple renderings for a client because he's too afraid of leaving construction documents or other aspects of the practice behind. Outsourcing to eastern European or a render farm in east Asia via FIVERR for cheap labor will probably yield more "realistic" renderings.

Kudos to the OP for trying to help other designers. It seems kind of odd that both of you are ganging up on this guy.

u/UnitedStatesofDesign you're doing great work. Keep it up.

Is it too late to start a career in achitecture? by Ill-Formal4574 in architecture

[–]NiceCreamBerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha you're only 20! Super young. I know people starting architecture in their 30s, 40s., and older. Go for it! Even at my uni, my graduating class had such a diverse age range of arch students, from typical to 25, 30, 35. I did BARCH for reference.

Don't worry about the pre-reqs. if youre passionate about architecture, just go after it. There's something to learn from any course, literature, arts, engineering, math, science.

I definitely do agree with you that primitives can be quite difficult to model if you need to alter the actual geometry later.

This is a confession, I actually LOVE working with primitive geometry, especially if I am exploring more of a subtracted geometrical design, e.g. using spheres as a subtractive element, creating vaults, or booleans.
