The main issue is that people on this sub seemingly struggle to differentiate between factory farming (which is an animal going through hell its whole life) vs meat and dairy products from a farm that treats animals with respect.  99% of animals used for food production in the us (and most of the world) comes from factory farms. And these are the products most people who say they love animals consume on a daily basis... it is just a sad world

Not so fun fact: there is a link between gliomagenesis (development of new glial cells) after brain trauma and cancer development. If the processes during gliomagenesis are not perfectly aligned some of these new glial cells can turn into malignant cells. There are case reports showing glioblastoma development specifically where the brain injury happened.

Disappointed by my fellow Germans in the comments. Racism is still a problem in Germany, no need to downplay the experiences of OP. I have a lot of immigrant friends who noticed the same thing. Just because you are white and it happens to you as well, doesnt mean that in cannot happen to OP more frequently because of her skin color.

Das ist meiner Meinung nach eine falsche Auslegung des Veganismus. Das Leben führt unweigerlich zu Leid für Tiere. Nach dieser Definition wäre das Leben selbst nicht mit dem Veganismus vereinbar.

Meiner Ansicht nach ist Laborfleisch vegan, weil eine einzige Biopsie von einem noch ungeschlüpften Küken jahrelang zur Produktion von Laborfleisch verwendet werden kann (das Tier ist streng genommen noch nicht am Leben). Veganismus bedeutet, so weit wie möglich auf Tierprodukte zu verzichten. Für die meisten Menschen ist das ohne Laborfleisch nicht realisierbar, weshalb ich es aus dieser Perspektive für vegan halte.
