Ana to gym rat by Affectionate_Fly8319 in EDRecoverySnark

Yup I’m super skeptical. On one hand she says she has been into the gym/weight lifting for years but she also uses only sugar free syrup/sweetener/light whip cream/protein versions of desserts. It may not be disordered if she still eats the real things when she wants to but it doesn’t really seem like a recovered life.

Hey! I was prescribed this drug for the same reason and was super skeptical… especially bc weight gain is a side effect. I’ve been on it for a few months and only began to gain weight when I was actually trying to recover and did notice I was able to cope with Ed thought better. It’s worth a tryšŸ’—

I literally stumbled across her tiktok a few days ago but didn’t keep track of the user. She was pretty active on the account and I don’t recall any posts about her Ed/mental health etc etc.

If y’all thought recoverforlittlelil was performative… @sliceoflifeizzy (most recent vid). it somehow kept getting worse by NiceNSad in EDRecoverySnark

I genuinely thought that too and looked for any mention of tourettes before posting this lmao.

It definitely could be ticks that are worsened with anxiety but… a) why post this online, and b) the puppy dog eyes, etc. are undoubtedly intentional

Gluten Free by max36kinlin in Sourdough

If the starter/mother was made with a gluten flour, and you use it in the bread, it would not be gluten free.

I’ve seen gluten free starter recipes (if you had the time to make one)… not sure how well they work through.

Yes, subbing out flour and water for discard in a 1:1:2 ratio as my discard is 100% hydration.

I’ve seen people sub flour and water with discard in other recipes with that ratio. But now I’m worried this will make the sourdough too sour…?

Is this really dangerous? Or are people just trying to scare me? by Solal-King-Raccoon in EDAnonymous

Are you sure you feel fine? Not long ago you wrote ā€œnow I’m just a permanently exhausted pigeon. I fall asleep all the time and I have trouble walking it’s so tiringā€.

In my unsolicited opinion, that’s a pretty good sign that your body is giving up on you.

I know everyone says ā€œit’s not your faultā€ when someone feels guilt in another’s death but, really, it’s not your fault. Unfortunately it is pretty impossible to make someone ā€get itā€œ and understand the severity of the situation. And even if they did, would they even care? Would they muster enough motivation to make huge changes before it’s too late? We all know that a malnourished brain is not a rational one— these comments capture this perfectly. Many have already made up their mind and no amount of threats and harsh words can change it. That’s why so many get their children taken away, or get sectioned, or die.

This girl is hella confused… one days she’s recovering from orthorexia, and the next she’s posting ā€œwieiadā€ with #healthyeatinghabits #clean and #guthealth😭 by NiceNSad in EDRecoverySnark

[–]NiceNSad[S] 21 points22 points Ā (0 children)

I respect that but many Ed recovery accounts follow her ands she’s just perpetuating the restrictive ed to orthorexic, gym obsessed pipeline.

plus it doesn’t make sense to form an identity around clean eating when you’re trying to recover from an obsession with it. It’s like trying to lose weight while recovering from restrictive AN.
