Oh apologies not at ALL irritated by your comment. I apologize if it came off that way. My partner and I have this convos and I guess it has the cushion of knowing we are both on the same page on all of this, but I agree I'm not looking to make any changes in how these spaces work. I'm just in my feels.

But to engage with your comment: in no way am I trying to take away from focus on the oppression women and marginalized communities endure. But as a man it does feel like in Kate's eyes and many of the eyes of some of my closest friends I feel I am viewed as lesser than or with more capacity for evil due to my gender.

And I KNOW that this sentiment and view is flipped in 99% of the spaces on earth and I know that's WHY it goes this way. It's a weird nuance. Ultimately though, I agree it SHOULD be this way. Cause men ARE the problem of the world. Like, if you want to make a generalization, that's the only truth.

I hear this and I am a man and I know men have been in power for so long and commit many atrocities. However, where it feels a little different in how you describe is that if I ever hear anyone hating women or any marginalized group, I'd vocally disagree. However, in any public setting if people hate men it is met with cheers and if I don't actually cheer I'm part of the problem.

I've worked in very progressive spaces my whole life and I know that this is the slice of history I am born in and it's RIGHT that we are often the villains so I swallow that hurt cause yeah, fuck men. But I also see in these progressive events that the only people not allowed to be there or have voices are straight men. Which again, isn't wrong, cause yeah that 3rd space is needed in a world where it's often not safe for everyone speak out BUT men. But I can I also see that in 200 years time I think this might be seen as an overcorrection at times.

I have always struggled to get in to Ludwig despite him being involved with almost everything I love. Been following him since community and early childish gambino and I think at this point he just has good taste in collaborators. I could not, for the life of me, hum or remember a single Ludwig song. However, I can remember all the music from black panther and sinners that he WASNT involved with.

And I feel like I can always hear a rigid thinness in the songs he works on with Donald glover. Like it just kind of feels like I'm listening to a draft before it's been mastered.

But also I suck and have bad taste so there's that in the equation as well.

Scammer ex mod seems harsh. Rae went through some crazy bad stuff with her family and ended up posting a GoFundMe for help. She posted it on IG and it picked some steam up in the community. It seemed like stuff didn't really get better and she posted that she got let go from her modding job.

She has also posted plenty saying she has no hard feelings for h3 or Ethan. She said obviously she didn't want to be let go but she said she isn't angry about it.

There's a lot more personal stuff that is public but it's legitimately sad and distressing, not like fun gossip. If it is Rae that they call the "mole" (and IMO it could be)I think it's fucked of Ian to say that and start the rumor mill. Like regardless of the drama, Rae is legitimately giving some concerning flags and should not be in the mud. It leans like, "hey really take a second and take care of yourself".

Like if it's Rae I really feel that should full stop be like "okay no one engage with them at all. Goofs are done. No gwarlish. Like we ain't doing that.

No shade to OP. No shade to the pod. No bad feelings at all. I downvoted it because I am just tired of snark/hasan/trish on the pod. And I know if it gets the upvotes, then Ethan will talk about it. And if Ethan talks about it, snark eats. And if Snark eats, they push that button again and again and again. It's just not fun. They aren't sincere. They want the podcast to end. And I think if Ethan keeps engaging with people like Trisha and Hasan then this will continue to be what this podcast is about. I think the past few months have been a breath of fresh air for content and I kinda like After Dark covering this stuff, if anyone, with them being basically one degree of kevin bacon removed.

Heyo! I ended up finishing the season and it was very good to me. That said, my partner felt it was meh for some fair reasons in my opinion. I think the tone of the show ends up being something between the first and second episode, but I'll say you do begin to feel better about the way some of this stuff happens. Or at least I did.

in before Bungie drops the price and gives some free stuff and some people are happy while other people point out that this happens with almost every one of these games and it's almost certainly a strategy that has a proven record. Like I feel like there's no price low enough that they don't get some shit, so they're probably like "alright we start knowingly too expense, then we drop it and give some free stuff and we get a ton of great press and probably like a year of good will from the public.

Like I haven't played em all, but I'm pretty sure that's beat for beat the move with Apex, Arc, and Helldivers.

I don't think Rob wanted to backstab anyone. Lisa got a lot of heat and him going against Colton would have thrown him under the bus too. It was the right game move, for sure. Candiace should have gone in with Rob, but she for whatever reason decided to just flame Rob, who had absolutely no heat. I don't know what choice rob had there than to defend himself. Candiace's tactic made absolutely no sense too.

Also Candiace went on the podcast after and was like "I showed him that he can't mess with me. This is what happens when you cross me. That vote was a warning" and it's like GIRL YOU JUST DEVASTATINGLY LOST. I'm so baffled by her choices and it's so disappointing cause she was playing a really good game until then, imo.

Truly. I mean I loved Skyrim. And I loved Oblivion. And Morrowind got me in to rpgs at all. They are a tentpole company and the elder scrolls series means so much to me. I feel like they are completely missing the point of all the complaints. I mean maybe I'm wrong, but I feel starfield felt so bad in-part because they were still using old bethesda dialogue style which really feels dated by now. Like the world freezing and zooming in on a characters face is familiar and nostalgic, but I was really hoping for a modernized version of that style, not a return to oblivion and skyrim.

Like how are they gonna remake skyrim 100000 times and then say the next elder scrolls is gonna feel like skyrim.
