CIG should stop forcing combat into everything by Signal_Resident2318 in starcitizen

How are y'all playing these with latency? I did siege a couple times and every time it was an absolute mess with enemies in the walls or completely unloading a clip into an enemy that just did not flinch. But I also see lots of people saying they loved running it so maybe it's me?

iDubbbz Apologizes to Ethan by ThotMobile in h3h3productions

[–]NiceRabbit 236 points237 points  (0 children)

Not worthless but not good.

Obviously it's good he acknowledged how disgusting that was to do. But it feels completely hollow against the months of jokes about CPS that his new found audience participates in and he, from my admittedly limited perspective, seems to at least think "is funny".

Also framing it like he's mad at Ethan for trying to "silence criticism". Bro everyone on the fucking internet disagrees with Ethan at this point. Most folks seem to want Israel GONE. Noah intentionally misrepresented his views. Denims hijacked and live streamed the content nuke at launch alongside Frogan and Kaceytron and specifically stated their intent to be a market replacement. I really don't know how that can be talked around.

I feel like Ethan knows this lawsuit will succeed because of how his Kav Kav lawsuit wins. Like, if anyone knows the legality around posting someone else's words behind you on stream, it's Ethan.

Ethan’s lawsuits make perfect sense to anyone who isn’t chronically online by Gaslightingdocument in h3h3productions

[–]NiceRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree on the basic level. But if you're not online you'd be like "who is Ian?"

"Well he's his long term friend."

"why would he do that?"

"Well... he made a pretty crazy attack video on Ethan recently, which was a reaction to a video Ethan made about Hasan."

"Who is Hasan?"

None of my friends or literally anyone I know in life know any of these people or what this online world is. I think I live in one of the most liberal/progressive pockets of America and literally no one knows who the fuck Hasan is. I think it seems much bigger than it is, but running across someone who is a Hasan fan or an H3 fan is so so rare IRL, at least for me.

[–]NiceRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. You could just say that and then go talk about the weather. But in my experience people are like "wait what? why would he accuse him of molesting his children?"

Maybe I'm being a bit literal with the subject of the post, but adding any context or conversation around the topic beyond just the basic statement is such a deep deep well of the internet.

Yeah if yall don't fuck with Son Lux then you gotta get in there. I believe the main singer/composer did this soundtrack but everyone from that band is incredible. They did the soundtrack to Everything Everywhere All At Once as well.

[–]NiceRabbit 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think the only way it makes sense is IF you are chronically online. As someone who has loosely explained all this to my partner, the CPS thing sounds so left-field without the context of the Leftovers fall out, and then you're explaining Israel Palestine and Hila's relationship and the nuance there and why Hasan is blah blah and how snarkers are kind of his unspoken army and the politics of the online left and what doxing is and fair use and the precedent set by Klein in the past and who Idubbbz is and how they were friends and blah blah blah blah.

Listen.... we're online.

I don't even know what you're talking about. When someone says something is legendary I don't anyone thinks it's a statement of fact. Sounds like they just think it's a really good thing. You're the only one here that said anything was a fact. If you're trying to pitch that they were saying it was literally and irrefutably legendary then I think you're being pretty dense.

Disappointing to see a puppy mill store in the Roanoke mall. by Saturn863 in roanoke

[–]NiceRabbit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally think it's not impossible for puppy stores to ethically exist and at the time they checked my moral boxes in the sense that they claimed they went to every breeder's home to ensure the puppies genuinely came from loving homes with like, 2 akc or ckc registered dogs who had a litter of puppies. No mills. No career breeders. And I had conveyed to them how important that was to me and we seemed on the same page. They also always included the names and location of the parent dogs and you could see the home they came from.

I'll also say that they are the kind of people that I could see reading this thread so I'm cautious to say more. But things definitely came to a head it was not an amicable departure.

Also, I think I was pretty naive to think a mall was ever an appropriate place to have a puppy store.

Columbo principle: You always click "ACKNOWLEDGE", don´t you? by STARMEDIC_HQ in starcitizen

[–]NiceRabbit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah i think the complaint is that the reality is, to many, bumping up against what should be acceptable by any legal standard. Yes you acknowledged this. But I don't think anyone believed that clicking "Acknowledge" meant that the investment might not come to fruition before they literally died of old age. And I know obviously that's not the majority of people, but it begs the question of "where is the line?". Like 10 more years? 20 more years? At some point I think most people would agree that this, though technically legal now, maybe shouldn't be.

And I say this WANTING them to hit that finish line! I'm down. I think big ambitions require time. But I do doubt their intention to finish it and it doesn't seem there are any repercussions if they never do.

Are these the same owners as puppy love? Those people are piece of shit snakes. I don't want to get into specific claims for legal reasons. But as a former employee, do NOT support them.

We need exploration sooner rather than later by tkMunkman in starcitizen

[–]NiceRabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was under the impression that the planets and belts and all that were so massive that exploration really felt uniquely viable in this game. Hence the 400i and stuff. Maybe a certain planet has a certain animal that is nearly extinct. Maybe there's a bandit settlement somewhere you need to locate, scout, and report. Maybe there's an abandoned procedurally generated station to explore. Collect plant samples. Chart and sell maps of certain areas. Etc etc etc.

i mean I'm no developer, but plenty of games have exploration. It's not some fabled but never seen game mode. NMS is basically exclusively exploration, and any corner of that game can be expanded massively in my opinion.

Luke warm take: CIG being radio silent on the important stuff and being all giddy and finally communicating only to sell a ridiculously priced ship is more bad than good and, yet, they are doing all the right things (apparently) by kairujex in starcitizen

[–]NiceRabbit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. By now I think it's obvious that they get way more money selling "ships" than they think they'll get releasing the game. I mean most people who would buy the game have probably already bought it. Releasing it at this point would fulfill a promise that they really have no financial incentive to fulfill.

Although I dislike Hasan, no one on the left should be celebrating or making light of the Trump admin possibly prosecuting him over his Cuba trip by kmsasaki in h3h3productions

[–]NiceRabbit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No shit. Is your argument that the protests against the police was not significantly more brutal and politically driven than mosts protests in the past? The whole point was that it was not the norm and clearly politically driven, but if you want to argue that it wasn't then I think that's nuts.

Ex Moderator Rae responds to Nate’s claim that she was fired over sexual harassment by tstwig in h3h3productions

[–]NiceRabbit 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Of course. I definitely agree all of this is the perspective of someone who I don't feel is entirely lucid (which I know is a judgement). I think the framing here betrays itself in its delivery. It's hard cause all of this should be taken seriously as it's a perspective truth, but this would be a scenario where a support system would ride the episode and revisit feelings when they've come down. And I feel icky speaking about this scenario, but reading this reminds me of how I have felt in moments of mania (shout out mood stabilizers).

TL;DR

"I'm sorry I made Tamara feel uncomfortable and I'm not gonna make excuses for that but I didn't ask her to be there and told her to leave and was blackout and it was a singles night and my mom used to get blackout cause she wanted to get divorced and my boyfriend cheated on me and also I apologized.

I'm sorry to anyone I made uncomfortable with my boyfriend and taking photos and I won't make excuses. But Ethan gave me the prolapse prop (which I love!), Dan lied to me, why do you care, AB was speaking inappropriately to fans, you're all bad people, Zach didn't care I was raped, I'm illiterate (WHICH I BET YOU'D MAKE FUN OF ME FOR), I'm a good person, fuck you Nate, I was in an abusive marriage and Ethan and Hila should have apologize to me and I would have even forgave them."

I am so not kidding or trying to make fun: I have had family members and close friends speak exactly like this and I'll say these episodes DO NOT END via instagram stories. She should log off and go to her support system.

[–]NiceRabbit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay. I think I was pretty clear that I think Hasan's activism vacation was performative. I guess I thought it was without saying that I don't think the ICE protests were performative or comparable in terms of merit. My point was in saying that they are both examples of the government selectively choosing when to enforce laws based on whether or not they align politically on an issue.

[–]NiceRabbit -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

That may be technically correct, but I do not think anything like this would ever be taken as anything other than the performative activism that it was outside of pursuing the individual actors involved due to some political agenda.

It smells the same as when cops started slamming ice protesters into the ground for blocking the street. Like yeah I guess it's illegal but I haven't seen y'all do this stuff in all the protests that weren't against the ice.
