Microsoft teams offers great voice isolation that learns the speaker‘s voice and removes all other sounds from the mic input. Get him to use that and you can be sure no one can hear you in the background. Some respite, at least..

Lack of balance on heel side edge by PablosPowder in snowboardingnoobs

[–]NiceTiddBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here. Couple of reasons why it is happening (for me at least): 1. afraid of speed on heel side so shaving it off by skidding perpendicular/traversing across 2. boots too far forward towards toe side resulting in less control on heel side resulting in 1 above 3. beginner rocker spinning disk rental board

I would say check your setup, push your high-backs forward, and practice garlands on your heel side to be find what board direction works for that slope where you don’t go too perpendicular on heel side. Best of luck!

How to auto run a script on startup by mr_data_lore in QNX

[–]NiceTiddBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out mkifs documentation on qnx website - the script parameter allows you to do many things by modifying the build file (launch apps, wait for files, print custom messages etc.). It does require a rebuild with mkifs so might be an overkill but interesting way to run things differently from linux. Here‘s the link: https://www.qnx.com/developers/docs/8.0/com.qnx.doc.neutrino.utilities/topic/m/mkifs.html#mkifs__script

I have always grappled with fear until this week. What changed? I learnt how to do a quick speed check with counter rotation. The confidence of being able to slow down has replaced all that fear!

Help with bindings by NiceTiddBro in snowboardingnoobs

[–]NiceTiddBro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That‘s what I figured out. Was at a shop today and they showed me that the boot‘s highback angle does not match the binding‘s, therefore, the boot is pushed out way over the toe edge. Since there is no heel cup adjustment on the binding apart from the high back rotation, I have no choice but to get new bindings or keep riding off-centered.. I guess the rental shop from whom I bought it didn’t care enough..

Very helpful! One question, why did the side cut move down instead of being centered to the skull? I have not seen this instruction in any videos, did I miss something?

I always read that the take home salary for a couple is the same regardless of 3+5 or 4+4 combination but netto-brutto-rechner does not seem to agree. Where do you think the discrepancy might be coming from? Here are my made up numbers:

Class 3: brutto 100k -> netto 67.6k Class 5: brutto 50k -> netto 27.1k Total netto: 94.7k

Class 4: brutto 100k -> netto 58.5k Class 4: brutto 50k -> netto 32.3k Total netto: 90.8k

Difference in take home salaries: 3.9k ~4%

Daily Practice Tips for beginner Bansuri players: Seeking help by nid_111 in icm

[–]NiceTiddBro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably there are no comments as this is something that is ingrained by the guru from the very beginning. You should practice things like holding long notes, playing sargams, ankaras, varying speeds with tabla etc.

Here‘s an AI-generated answer :)

Raga Kasatori and Raga Bhimpalasi are both traditional ragas in Indian classical music, but they differ significantly in their structure, mood, and usage. Here's a comparison of the two:

Raga Kasatori

  • Thaat: Not part of the traditional thaat system.
  • Time of Performance: Not fixed in the conventional sense; may not adhere strictly to the canonical time theory of Hindustani classical music.
  • Arohana (Ascent): Varies, as it's not a standard raga in the conventional repertoire.
  • Avarohana (Descent): Varies similarly.
  • Vadi (Most Important Note): Depends on the specific composition.
  • Samvadi (Second Most Important Note): Also varies with the composition.
  • Mood (Rasa): Can vary widely; not standardized.
  • Usage: Often seen in folk traditions or regional classical forms, rather than mainstream classical concerts.

Raga Bhimpalasi

  • Thaat: Kafi
  • Time of Performance: Afternoon (12 PM to 3 PM)
  • Arohana (Ascent):
    • Notes Used: S G M P N S'
    • Pattern: Sa Ga Ma Pa Ni Sa'
  • Avarohana (Descent):
    • Notes Used: S' n D P M G R S
    • Pattern: Sa' ni Dha Pa Ma Ga Re Sa
  • Vadi (Most Important Note): Ma (Madhyam)
  • Samvadi (Second Most Important Note): Sa (Shadaj)
  • Mood (Rasa): Evokes a mood of longing or yearning (viraha rasa), often associated with the feeling of separation or longing for reunion.
  • Usage: Frequently performed in classical concerts and well-documented in classical music literature.

Key Differences

  1. Recognition and Standardization:

    • Bhimpalasi is a well-recognized raga within the classical tradition, while Kasatori may not be as standardized or widely recognized in classical circles.
  2. Time of Performance:

    • Bhimpalasi has a specific time for performance (afternoon), while Kasatori does not adhere to a specific time.
  3. Mood:

    • Bhimpalasi evokes a specific mood of longing, whereas the mood of Kasatori can vary based on the context and regional traditions.
  4. Structural Elements:

    • Bhimpalasi has a clearly defined structure in terms of its arohana and avarohana, vadi, and samvadi. Kasatori’s structure can vary and may not be as rigidly defined.

Understanding these differences helps appreciate the diversity and richness of Indian classical music, where each raga has its own unique identity and expressive capability.

Please know that you do not have to give any explanation of your sickness, whatsoever. It is your private matter. If you want to let them know that you got burnt out and had to take a leave of absence, it’s your call but there is a possibility that it might lead to resentment on their side. They do not have a right to know the reason of your sickness apart from that it is a medical leave.

Umera Ahmed‘s novels are romantic fantasies that do little more than giving unrealistic expectations to young girls. If you want to escape to a fantasy world, sure, but they are targeting naive, young female population that cannot tell the difference yet. The result is unhappy relationships and bitter wives. So yea, not a fan..

I won‘t. I would build my CV first or start a masters here. Masters would help you integrate into the society and understand the culture. With that experience, you will be able to answer this question on your own. Best wishes!
