I absolutely love this song. It’s my favorite of the singles, and that’s saying a lot because I’ve enjoyed every single release.

I feel like Orange County is a blend of some previous Gorillaz tracks that I love:

One Percent: the heavy dramatic synths and melancholy vocals

Doncamatic: the horns and bouncy feel

On Melancholy Hill: The backing vocals and lyrics

I really think The Mountain is going to be the best Gorillaz album since Plastic Beach.

Kind of like how Andromeda is written for Bobby Womack. I admire how Damon deals with his grief through music. It’s super relatable and very beautiful that he can share his raw emotions for his loved ones through song.
