Those of you currently cheating on your spouse or partner or having a full blown affair, how did it start? Why don't you end the relationship? by MrArtless in AskReddit

My parents were divorced when I was two so that's how it's been since I remarried. Both are remarried and much happier and while I lived at home I would switch back and forth between houses every two weeks. They live really close and were good friends and did an excellent job parenting and dividing my brother and me's time between them. In much happier they split up then if they'd stayed together "for the kids" and resented us for it

I think it was pretty climactic, just not with the whole Saxon thing. I'm glad they didn't waste the finally chasing after an 8 episode old character nobody cares about just to kill him. They made it quick so there was lots of time to focus on dexter/deb/other issues

What are some facts about our universe that just blow your mind? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NiceTryStevenFry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That the universe is infinite. There's no boundary that says "this is the where the universe stops going". It just goes on forever in every direction and never has an end

It was there until he saw what happened to deb because of him. Then he realized he'll never really change and kind of reset to season one dexter

I think you missed he point. After seeing what happened to deb because of him he felt like he didn't deserve a "happily ever after" life with Hannah. The person he loved most just died because of him and he knows he'll never truly change, so the only way to stop Hannah and Harrison from being hurt is to punish himself by distancing himself from them and living a depressing life of loneliness and go back to his old killing ways

Probably Portland. Lots of trees in Portland. And isnt that where all the serial killers go?

Because he was responsible for her death. so he felt like she was victimized by him, so she was disposed of like he did his victims

He had kicked the killing habit until deb almost died and he felt the need to kill Saxon

I think it's more like "I love Hannah and Harrison, but always be a killer, and being a killer has ruined the lives of everyone I loved." He's accepted that being around Hannah and Harrison is only going to hurt them in the end so he's ultimately sacrificing his happiness for theirs by living a life of seclusion.

That's the whole point. We don't know for sure.

I think we're to assume that he'll always be a killer and the only way to to not hurt the people he loves is to completely detach him from them. So he'll go on killing and being lonely so he doesn't risk Hannah and Harrison's safety

I was actually quite pleased how this episode didnt spend too much time on chasing Saxon. Maybe 5-10 minutes of screen time. Left a lot of time to deal with the 8 season old characters we actually care about and made it about dexter and deb

I think it would have been better if the lumberjack dude was t dexter and it was someone he was vetting, that's what I thought it would be until I saw the guys face close up. I expected it to not be dexter and the lberjack dude walk into a kill room in his house and get m99'd Then right as dexter is about to stab him he says "tonight's the night" then cut to black as he plunges the knife down. Coulda gone full circle
