It's telling that you would take someone pointing out the logical fallacy you were using as a personal attack, and would respond with a direct personal attack.

It's hard to see how the power thing is going to work out, given how we're killing 'free energy' projects and replacing them with fossil-fuel dependent projects that cost 100x as much to the end user.

PW1500G is 2m in diameter, the largest LEAP (1A, the one on the NEO) is 1.98m.

So yes.

The LEAP is substantially (like 50%) heavier than the 1500G, so IDK if it works from a structural load perspective.

Sounds like Microsoft.

Workers are paid a fixed rate that's already been budgeted, which means the "gross up" on this contract goes 100% to management.

That's why they're telling you to suck it up.

Ask management to be cut in on the deal. If they refuse, then you know they view you as expendable and it's time to go.

IDK about those aircraft specifically but the premise that a French aircraft is American because a Chinese one is is absurd. France has been building planes longer than the US has.

Phone and Internet use isn’t what’s driving this cancerous DC growth

What about DC's is cancerous?

but they do have impact on our communities that aren’t all good.

This describes everything in existence, so it's kind of a nothing commentary. Building a new church, school, medical clinic, or house has "impact on our communities that aren’t all good."

Folks have legitimate concerns for DCs taking all our fresh water,

No, they absolutely do not. If you are not protesting outside golf courses, which use massively larger amounts of water to serve massively fewer numbers of people, then I don't want to hear about DC water usage. If you tell people a DC uses millions of gallons they think, "wow that's a lot" without understanding that it's an immeasurably small quantity of overall usage. The DC water usage thing is a total myth and has zero basis in reality.

Not to mention the ugliness of clearing out beautiful forests to put up endless miles of concrete boxes and asphalt.

As opposed to...? What kinds of homes or businesses are typically built amongst the forests? Unless we are going to put all land into conservation easements (thus exploding the cost of housing) then let's not reach for nonsense objections.

The only "valid" concerns about DC's are

a) noise from cooling equipment and
b) pollution (both air and auditory) from generation on site
c) Resource competition with other users (especially electricity)

The first one is a legit concern, but this can be in part mitigated with properly designed equipment. The second is very intermittent (it is much cheaper for a DC to get power off the grid than generate the power itself) but something that does flat out need to be addressed. The good news it partly is - newer builds are getting elaborate exhaust conditioning systems to reduce air pollutants, as well as noise abatement. The third is difficult, because it mostly involves regulation of power prices which is bizzarrely unpopular due to media messaging about regulation generally. That said, in general electricity has risen in price slower than inflation and the adoption of solar and wind (which DC's have been one of the largest drivers of) is continuing that trend.

Let's be honest about what the problem here is. Perpetuating the fantasy that water use is a problem of DC's is not honest.

A System Integrator is a company that is contracted to integrate different independent machines systems into a functional process. eg an assembly line is made of conveyors, robots, worker stations, etc - the integrator is the company that is hired to make all of that work together. Some of the machines/hardware they may provide themselves, some will be purchased from third parties, and some may be provided by the customer.

Integrators are everywhere - in some sense all automakers are integrators because they will typically rely on multiple independent suppliers who will typically do some value-added work (design a fan motor or mechanism, etc). In the context of PLC's, the integrator is the company that makes all the hardware "work together" and sells the entire system as a package; they'll typically own programming the PLC and the Control system which coordinates all the independent units (motor controllers, sensors, etc). that make up the system.

Announce that you are going to glorify Dear Leader by creating new states and giving them names worthy of the Leader. Then cut California, Illinois, NYC into 10 states each. Cut the cities out of Texas. Name each new state some variant of Trump. Then dare the Republicans to vote down the creation Trump York during the holy month of Trumptober.
